Douglas EGC-450LP Brown/Gold Les Paul Case

I have seen a couple reviews stating the case has an bad smell. I am yet to smell any bad smell from the case, and I don't belive that will change.The case is very well constructed and fits my 2018 Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top Pro absolutely perfectly. I love the gold interior and lighter brown exterior with the dark brown trim. The gold colored latches, and hinges are a very nice touch. All of the hardware appears to be made of quality materials and components. I like that there is a latch on the hinge side of the case for additional security to confuse my toddler. I know that if I forget to lock it that it will slow her down enough for me to hear what is going on from the next room.The interior is very plush, and the color compliments the "Blood Orange" (Nice try Epiphone, that is red) color of my guitar. The exterior is wrapped with a fairly thick, for the purpose, leather like, rubber material. I feel it will hold up for a very long time. If it does wear out I will just wrap it with brown leather and call it good. The stitching used on the bindings is very nice and well done. I have absolutely zero complaints.You will be very hard pressed to find a new case, for this price point, made to the same quality. At the time of purchase the case costed me $79.99 + $17.86 for shipping. Including tax around $104. The quality far surpasses Gator, and many of the others I have looked at in the past. Don't waste your time and money buying those products from Guitar Center.

Fits my ESP guitars perfectly. ESP cases are way too expensive. And for an alternative I had a very difficult time finding this size. ESP's are longer and wider than Gibson Les Pauls and others similar.Fabulous case. Nice features; inside "blanket" like old style Gibson cases. Very pleased with it so far.As far as durability ; don't know yet, can't get out and about to do gigs !Highly recommended for quality and great price.

Beautiful case, impressive quality, especially considering the price. Sooner or later ALL my guitars will have one of these. Superb fit on my Les Paul and even the interior color is a great compliment to its finish (Iced tea burst). I'd give it 3 thumbs ups but I only got 2 thumbs. If you love your guitar and want it to be safe and happy, Get one, you wont regret it.

If the cost we’re in the $130+ range before shipping, I’d rate it three stars for fit and finish. However, for the price I give it four.The good: solidly built and quite handsome! I do feel my 70’s Crown Japanese LP copy is well secured and protected and it’s ‘gigable’ except for the pro or near pro musician who would need a more durable option, but it’s great for the average person.Cons: the piping covering the seems is a bit crooked/wavy in some areas, but securely attached. There are a couple of small bubbles under the vinyl covering, but not noticeable to most. The biggest gripe is that two latches did not perfectly align and required some minor adjustment with pliers for consistent operation. It is for this reason that I give it four stars instead of five.I would recommend it, none the less, when all factors are considered, especially since no other reviews mention such a problem and mine could be just a fluke. You can’t expect perfection at this price point, but proper function should be a baseline requisite, and my rating reflects this.

Love the felt. The padding is extra large and my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Koa doesn’t move or bounce around. It’s uber secure and this case is durable. I take it gigging and I’m not afraid to toss it around.

I upgraded my Gibson Les Paul with all the greatest (gold tone) hardware available including the Duesenberg Les Trem and wanted a case that would match all the upgrades and allow the case to close with the Les Trem install. This one fits the bill perfectly. I consider it an upgrade to the Gibson case itself. The picture speaks perfectly for itself. Its a great looking case and as sturdy as any I've seen.

My Epiphone DC PRO did not fit in the case. The product description indicated it would fit. I did return the case with no problems. Really too bad as it is a very nice case. Really good value.,
