I have an old Sony cassette player that after many years started eating tapes and not playing. Found a YouTube video that took me through replacing the belts that, of course, over time are going to loosen up or break. This pack had all the sizes needed to get the old cassette player working again. Highly recommend!

First of all, these aren't quite 1mm, they're more like 0.8mm x 1.0mm, and some of them hadn't completely pulled apart where they were cut. And it seems that my old belt was 1.2mm. But I did find one that did the job, and a vintage CD player will properly eject its tray again. Now I've got a bag full of belts left over to try on a couple of old cassette decks.

I ended up needing to replace the drive belts on a Dacal PowerDrive unit since the old bands inside were stretched AND brittle. Without that grippy elasticity, it could no longer actuate the carousel or pull/push discs reliably. Luckily it was just loose belts causing things to spin in place.I bought this variety pack so I could try a few different sizes to maximize grip. I ended up going one size down and doubling up since they weren't as thick as the OEMs.Still, exactly as described and good quality for the money. Glad to have extras for other electronics projects as well.

It does what it's supposed to do, but the uniformity is far from satisfactory for precision work. This is especially true for the shorter ones.

Gave 2 stars because quality seems fine, but you’re rolling the dice on whether you’ll get the size you need.My bag had several in the 125mm range and several in the 115mm range but the one I was replacing was around 120mm for an ION Tape Express used to convert cassettes to mp3s. The 125s were too loose and while I could stretch a 115 and it sounded ok, when I compared the waveforms from the same cassette before/after replacement, the playback after replacement had significant distortion from the baseline original. If complete fidelity isn’t an issue for you then you can probably roll the dice and order the grab bag but if you want an exact replacement you should look elsewhere to guarantee the right size.
