Completely Satisfied
I have been eyeing this combo pack since last year, disappeared for a while so I was glad it returned. As someone who has several Vortex Optics, I can tell you honestly, without spending 3 to 5 times as much, the quality, warranty and customer service is amazing. The glass is ultra clear and the combination of the magnifier and Holographic reticle is perfect. Installation is tool free (except if you need to adjust the tension up or down) and was almost perfect on zero. Vortex is definitely worth every penny.

Super Product
Vs. Red dot: I prefer the Huey. The Huey has a much larger field of view, it's easier to access the target, and quicker. Battery life is shorter than the red dot, but that's relative. I run the Huey for at least an hour every week and, as a precaution, I change the battery every 12 months. I really wouldn't need to.Vs. LPV: I really prefer the Huey. Acquiring the sight picture with the Huey is instinctive. You look at the target, and the reticle/rifle just go there. With the LPV, it's an acquired thing, kind of like learning to find the red dot on a pistol. It takes persistent practice. As for battery life, the LPV just drains batteries. The LPV has an advantage for long distance shooting, but it's not even close to being a precision rifle scope. The LPV is a compromise at both ends. Without constant practice, at 1x, it's much slower on close targets than the Huey, and, at full magnification, with the circle and dot reticle, it's only fair at long distances.Vs, Eotech: I like the Huey. I have used both, and I don't see any advantage with the Eotech. On the other hand, the Eotech is much more expensive, and I like the controls on the Huey better. That's just my subjective opinion.Note 1: this is my review of the Huey Gen II, not the earlier Gen I. Also, if you want magnification, the Huey is fully compatible with the Sig Juliet 3x. The run my rifle that way all the time. The Juliet will flip down and out of the way. It's a great combination.

Outstanding combat optic with almost no parallax shift!
I've seen a lot of fishy online reviews of this optic but unlike paid influencers saying it's the best when they have barely shot it and shill smear reviews paid for by competitors saying it sucks because blah, blah brand is what their man crush uses I've been running two of these optics on a SCAR-17S and a Mk18 for close to 4 years now and they have delivered in ways that other optics can't.From the panoramic "Big Screen" field of view to the pin-point precision of the 1 moa center dot to the little 'Stargate' triangle at the bottom that eliminates "height over bore" issues at CQB distances this "Brick' has what it takes to be a top tier weaponsight.Mine have undergone 2600rds of 7.62x51 on an "optics munching" SCAR-H and nearly 4000rds of M193 5.56x45 on my little Mk18 clone without missing a beat. The built-in QD mount is ADM/MI quality, the enclosed emitters slough off snow and muddy water like a champ and with the Vortex 6x Micro Magnifier I have made consitent 2-4moa 650 meter groups on IPSC mini silhouettes without going off the paper multiple times. My two complaints initially were the ever so slightly "blinky" refresh rate and a dim smudgy image through my ancient PVS14(64LPI) night vision monocular. The dim smudgy night vision image was fixed by removing the polarizing filter that the previous owner had installed on the PVS14 back in 2004 and the blinky refresh rate has yet to induce any errors even in "go fast mode" it's keeping up with me even when I'm putting out 6 shots on 2 CQB tatgets in 2.39 seconds.I was told by a guy who is an engineer at Vortex that both the blinky reticle and lens coating that doesn't play well with polarized filters are why my UH1v2s have half again as much battery life as my EOTech EXPS3 despite having nearly identical lasers and very similar reticles.I wish I had bought a couple more of these when they were under $400 and people hadn't figured out how great these are but even at over $500ea they are still significantly cheaper than EOTech or Aimpoint T2s, M5s, etc and at least of equal quality with some value added features that make me prefer them overall. My favorite setup for both the UH1v2 and the 6x Micro Magnifier are to put them on top of two UNITY FAST 1913 HWS QD risers to achieve that "cool guy" 2.26" reticle height that makes passive shooting though head mounted night vision a breeze. I have the risers facing away from each other currently but have thought about flipping them around so there is less chance of them getting hung up on my sling if something weird happens during the excitement of a demanding shooting situation but we'll see if that's a winner with the magnifiers eye relief once I've tried it.Bye for now and enjoy your UH1v2 Huey..
