Since I travel and needed a tap set that is portable this was perfect. Honestly I haven’t used any of the taps that come with it so I can’t comment on the durability of the taps themselves; however, the tap handle is why I bought this and it is perfect for my needs.The T-bar comes totally out so that it can fit into a pouch and that makes it much more portable than other similar products. The ratchet function makes it easy to use so you don’t have to keep adjusting your hand with every turn. It will also fit any taps up to ¼” so you are not restricted to just the taps that come with it.If you are looking for a low cost and portable alternative, this tap fits the scenario.My only recommendation is to have the ratchet steps to be slightly smaller, but that is just me nitpicking.

I needed to make some threaded holes for screws and this worked perfectly. I only used one of the included taps and it worked almost as good as the more expensive ones I own. The T-Handle can open wide enough to hold screw driver bits too.

I occasionally need to tap or re-tap screw holes and been wanting to get one of these. Feels sturdy enough and works great. If you need an inexpensive ratchet tap, this is it.

The screw nut was striped but this tool helped restored the grooves.

I got these to thread holes in 3D printed PLA plastic which is pretty soft plastic and these lousy thread cutters couldn't cut it. I ended up just going to Home Depot and getting the Black and Decker ones which worked perfectly. I shudder to think what would happen to the poor consumer who tries to actually use these to cut some kind of metal.
