1 1/2 winged Monarch! New addition to the family:)
Wonderful item and very informative. We had no problems hatching our Monarchs. 1 monarch hatched with 1 1/2 wings. Must have not developed right in the cacoon. It cannot leave the net so we have a new pet to care for. When releasing the other ones. 1 other monarch decided to stay with the half winged. They are now mating after 3 days In the net together. I guess we will have to help them hatch there babies now! What an awesome experience.

Create Butterly memories!
Great shipping speed. Caterpillars all showed up alive minus 1. Most survived the first weeks. Overall 8 out of 10 became butterflies. Great kit. Perfect for home or classroom. Has everything you need in it. Months later my students are still talking about this experience.

Fascinating project for all ages
Ordered 2 cups, received 9 healthy caterpillars! They are growing quickly & a few have attached to the lids within 3 days. Will definitely purchase more ❤️ 🐛

Great for the kids
I loved doing this with my kids! The most exciting parts were watching them turn into chrysalises & them hatching into butterflies. Out of the 5 caterpillars that arrived, four made it, the fifth one never hatched. I still count it as a success and a for sure win with my kids!

Fly Away Butterflies
Each one of these grew to be beautiful butterflies! The learning aspect was superior! The quality was superior! They grew at an expected rate! The size of it was great for our science area.

Not as advertised
I was disappointed in this product; I bought it to teach my class a science lesson about the butterfly life cycle and use it as a positive behavior incentive. To be fair, the habitat and the instructions were excellent and easy to follow. When it arrived, though, only 3 of the 5 promised caterpillars were in the container, and 1 was dead. The 2 remaining caterpillars were at vastly different stages in their life cycles. It says in the directions: do not open the cup at any point because it can harm the caterpillars. It also says to remove the chrysalis from the cups before they emerge so they can dry their wings. One formed a chrysalis and was in it for a week/ready to emerge before the other caterpillar had grown to even half the size it should have been, so I released it since I had no way of removing the chrysalis and keeping it in the cup for it to create its own. I made the mistake of opening it in front of my students, so returning it was not an option without upsetting them. It may be my fault for assuming I'd be sent 5 living caterpillars or that the caterpillars would be at similar growth stages so that they would create a chrysalis around the same time. Having only one butterfly to show my class after they were so excited was disappointing. I would not buy again. In the picture you can see how different in growth the 2 living caterpillars were and the 3rd dead caterpillar in the back. Maybe there is another one that was dead beneath the larger living caterpillar, but either way, I only ever had 2 that were alive.

Ordered 10, Received 9
Caterpillars arrived today, there was 5 in one cup and 4 in the other cup when we ordered 10. Not super happy to be short one when not taking in account any that might be DOA. Two haven’t had any movement in 12 hours, but instructions say to give the caterpillars 48 hours adjust. Will update in a few weeks when we watch these guys grow and become butterflies!

Very beautiful and educational
They came several days early (on the weekend) so we were worried cause they were for school. But they did just fine. All ten matured and hatched while the class watched. We let them go once they’d all hatched and matured a few days. The kids all really enjoyed watching the process and letting them go was exciting. Ages 1-9 involved.
