Comparative Anatomy: Manual of Vertebrate Dissection Loose Leaf – March 1, 2015

Not going to say she likes it bc it’s a tough class lol! But buying it through Amazon saved at least 50% off compared to other options which makes us feel so much better that more than likely she is going to toss it after the semester. She doesn’t do well with digital format of books bc she is an active reader who likes to highlight and circle to enhance her memory and recognition so a physical book is key. We have gone to exclusively purchasing required college books for all three through Amazon bc the discount is crazy amazing.

Really deatailed atlas. For my four hundred level comparative anatomy course I loved this book. The labeled color photos were spot on and pretty easy to follow most of time, however the text gives a fantastic road map to aid in locating small anatomical features. We did the lamprey, shark, mudpuppy and cat. The cat was the only one I had to use text descriptions to help find some of the more tricky features.Overall, I think it's a great book and it should definitely help with your anatomy knowledge and applications.

Currently I am enrolled in Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy and this book has been extremely helpful with dissections, especially when I am trying to locate and differentiate between all of the structures. I would highly recomend this book for anyone in a similar class. However, I will warn you that some of the terms have not been converted to animal physiology nomenclature and therefore some conversions in you dialect are needed.

Okay, not always the easiest to follow and could use more labeling.

Every single page is stuck to the next. It’s just a solidified stack of papers. Some will pull apart with minimal damage to the content while most won’t separate without ripping the page.
