Bath and Body Works C.o. Bigelow Rose Salve with Rose Extract

My lips peel off a few times a year. For the last 25 years, I put on lip balm before going to bed to help. I have tried plain Vaseline, Burt's Bees, and countless brands that promote healthy lips. This is by far the best product I have used. A little goes a long way for an even and smooth application. It does not have a strong or bad taste, does not tingle nor burn. When I wake up, I don't have dry lips. I feel like it actually soaks in instead of just sitting on top. I applied a little on a rough spot on my hand and it was gone in the morning. I wish they sold it in a tub as it helps my feet after a long day in heels. My 13-year-old son has inherited my dry lips but hates using product; he still screams his head off if I suggest any kind of cream. Yet he will use this when he reaches the point of major discomfort. He said that he likes it and it works.

I love all the Bigelow salves and I bought this and another for my soon-to-be sisters-in-law. They both live in Canada where it can be quite dry in the winter, so I got these for them for stocking stuffers. They seem to love them almost as much as I do! I tend to use this as a lip balm and cuticle treatment in dry environments, but have also used it on other chapped areas like elbows and the backs on my hands. I also take this with me when hiking or walking long distances to apply to areas of my heels that might blister. This way, there is less friction from rubbing and I don’t end up with blisters or sores!

After running out, I made many inquiries and searches in stores to no avail. I was glad to find this online! I love this Rose Salve. In the winter, it's about the only thing that helps soothe my lips. I use many lip balms and such, but this seems to be the most penetrating and hydrating when my lips need the help. It's also good for other areas such as knuckles, elbows, etc.I will say that the smell/taste is odd/waxy (not deal breakingly noticeable) and the texture is a bit greasy, but it is still so worth the use! I recommend applying before bed to avoid taste and to let soak in.

I've been an addict to Burt's Bees for 6 years of my life. I used that chapstick religiously. As I got into my 20s I wanted something a little less intense (honestly, something more suitable for being intimate). This salve is amazing. I can use it on my cuticles, lips, and anywhere else I see fit. It makes my lips soft and it smells delicious. It doesn't have the regular balm texture. It's a bit more oily almost, like it feels more natural and less plasticy like some balms can. This also soothes my lips and nourishes them way more. I used to constantly have to apply Burt's Bees but with this stuff it's like my lips have learned to soften themselves again. I recommend it to everyone I know.

I've ordered this product twice and can't seem to open it when I want to use it. Its ridiculous! And it can't be returned - even though I can't open it. I've moved on to another product. I wrote to the company, but they just said "thanks for the feedback". No interest in helping me out.

I've struggled with dry lips for years and feel like I have tried a very wide variety of products, done a lot of research, reached out to my Doctor, etc. For me, this Rose Salve has made night and day difference. My lips are no longer peeling or chapped and I am no longer constantly picking at them. The scent is stronger than other products but not overwhelming. At first I needed to use it 24/7. After a few days I was using it a lot less frequently but my lips were still happy. Now I use it a couple of times a day and wouldn't dream of going back to any other product.

I have bought this same rose salve directly from Bath and Body Works multiple times before. What I got with this order was NOT the same one that I get when ordering directly from Bath and Body Works. I only ordered one this time, so I thought I would try Amazon with the free shipping. I should have just paid Bath and Body Works' shipping fee instead of ordering from this company. The tin is extremely difficult to open, unlike tins from B&BW. When I did manage to open it, the texture and smell both were way off! The moisturizing quality is also not nearly what it should be. Don't order rose salve from this company. Order it directly from B&BW!!! And to top it all off, I can't return this junk. Almost $10 wasted!

I really enjoy the actual product, but the reason I have taken off two stars is due to the packaging. It is Incredibly hard to open. Considering how long this product has been around and how many complaints I have seen regarding the difficulty opening the package you would think they would change it. I love the product but it is off putting how I feel like I'm going to snap a nail everytime I try to open it to apply some, so for me this just isn't worth it, I would say go with the Smiths Rosebud Salve instead, easy to open, and comes in a variety of different scents, as well as a mentholated one
