Easy set up, just had trouble with wire color on instructions. Works great, o ly noise is from air being sucked into wood stove.

Small clip bar would not hold wires in place. Had to install new crimp/socket wire connectors. Several technical inquiries made to fan manufacturer and never received responses. Wire colors (hot and neutral) are different than USA standard, ground wire was yellow, but at least had a green strip. Technical diagram did not differentiate. Also, external electrical box is plastic with a snap cover that is not water tight. I had to seal with electrical tape.The basic installation of of the fan with adjustable base was fairly smooth. One issue that I had was the top of my chimney consists of a clay pipe that extends 6” beyond the chimney brick. The fan base could not be attached to this as the attaching bolts would have cracked and broken the pipe. Had to adapt.

My fireplace had draft problems, the fire box was too big for the size of the chimney. I could not use my fireplace if there was any wind or the smoke would back up into the house. I had it cleaned and the chimney service suggested a draft inducer for $2800.00 plus electrical work I thought that was a little pricey and did a little internet research and found this product.For less than $700.00 plus $500 for the electrician to wire the unit this was a great choice!No smoke! I get great heat and NO NOISE this unit is super quiet I now can enjoy my fireplace. They should include a better wiring diagram for 110VT. My electrician had to "ring out" the control box. That is why you hire a pro for this installation!

I was a proud owner of Tjernlund 1500 CFM for 6 years. It worked around the clock for those 6 years because not only we have a short chimney but also we have a problem with chimney smell (due to the fact that chimney is too short). It worked great but it was loud. It was very annoying. You could either have your fireplace turned on or watch the TV - either or not together. We bought this fan and we absolutely love it so far. Installation was a breeze - it looks fancy on our chimney (not a birdhouse) and it works great. We set it to 3 and we can barely hear it. Also when you set it low it induces the smoke draft but the heat stays in the house. Also the wood does not burn so fast. I hope it will work as long as Tjernlund and it looks like it. HALF PRICE and such a great quality.

Did not like that it did not have a wiring diagram for USA. It is also supplied with inferior non complying non weather resistive flexible conduit not approved in the USA. Also has flimsy connectors. After I asked a question they want me to go back on the roof dismantle the box connections, remove the weather cap on the chimney to photograph the connections. Not the best request for a 30 foot chimney.

The media could not be loaded. We live in a forest of trees. This causes some problems with fireplaces, as the trees create turbulence that causes wind to come down chimneys and back puff smoke into our home. You never could know when it would happen. One moment you have a perfect fire in the fireplace, and the next you have a house full of smoke.Professional chimney experts had no shortage of remedies… Texas T stack (not bad but not great), Vacu-Stack (expensive failure), fireplace insert, or turn it into gas only fireplace. I really like a wood fire. Then I see this Gemmi while searching out options on Amazon.The reviews were a little mixed. Most of the complaints seemed to involve installation. I have to agree. The instructions could be more detailed- especially how to run the wire up to the chimney from inside your home. Come on, give us diy’ers something to work with… give some options! You sell in America! Use American wire measurements. Seriously, you guys can do better, Gemmi.The end result is that we have a fireplace again!!! Love the roaring fires! So does my family. We have had a dozen or so fires and I love this thing. As long as it lasts, I will be happy.
