I bought this originally to cook naan directly over my flat topped ceramic kitchen stove, as was recommended to me by a friend who has been making naan, chapati, rotis and more for a very long time. It takes a bit of practice to get the technique right, but now my naan almost taste like the naan from my favorite restaurant.But I’ve found other uses for this handy and inexpensive kitchen tool. You can char onions, ginger, peppers, heads of garlic as well, so you can get deeper flavor in your homemade broth. You can also use it as a cooling rack in a pinch, and to drain fried items. It’s pretty handy and well worth the cost and the small amount of space it takes up in my tiny kitchen.
