Pure magic!
I'm from the U.S. with zero ties to anything across the water, but I saw the first episode of "Still Game" on Netflix years ago and was hooked. The entire series is heartwarming and hilarious. This live show from the Hydro is pure magic. The cast is excellent. The acting is top notch. The writing is good. It's really funny although can be somewhat "blue" at times. There is an original story in this live show with plenty of callbacks to the television series. (I highly recommend Americans turn on subtitles.)

Review without Spoilers - Pros & Cons
Still Game - Live in Glasgow is a live production celebrating the older Scottish sitcom, Still Game. Still Game is you are not familiar was produced by The Comedy Unit with BBC Scotland. It was created by Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, who played the lead characters, Jack Jarvis, Esq. & Victor McDade, two Glaswegian pensioners. The characters first appeared in the pair's previous TV sketch show Chewin' the Fat, which aired in Scotland from January 1999 until December 2005.If you have not seen the entire Still Game sitcom, I suggest seeing it before watching Still Game - Live in Glasgow. Here are the pros & cons of Still Game - Live in Glasgow as I see it, I hope this help you.Pros:1. If you love Scottish humour, you are sure to love this2. Original & fun3. Overall great acting4. Some fun & unexpected scenesCons:1. If you don't have a region 2 player or an all regions player, then this DVD will not work for you2. Still Game after all these years, and still nae devil dugs or neds alloo'd!
Jack and Victor are back, and they brought the whole COT (Craiglang Old Team) to celebrate! This LIVE production at the Hydro in Glasgow played to sell out crowds during its month long run, and even bumped U2 off from their planned performance due to public demand for Craiglang's favorite pair of pensioners! Different than the BBC aired version, the disc has many new scenes and longer bits of dialogue, for some reason or other didn't make the TV broadcast. This truly is the next best thing if you couldn't see the live shows! If you are an American, and have no clue what Still Game is all aboot(!), I can not stress strongly enough the need to see the entire original TV series. Preferably on some media that has closed captioning or subtitles; not that it is necessary, but the accents, banter and witty dialogue do come fast and hard and the subs give you a hand in being let in on the fun!

As funny as the series.
If you’re a Still Game fan you owe it to yourself to get this. Most of the characters are in it and the ending is a scream! You have to buy a specific DVR to watch it. It’s not expensive and most definitely worth it.

Minus 2 stars for Meena.
A good stage performance faithful to the Still Game tradition..... except for the creepy last scene featuring Meena the elephant goddess, or whatever that was. I had to deduct 2 stars for that.
