Alliance Rubber Big Rubber Bands 12 Pack 7-Inch X 1/8-Inch Red 00700

Very durable, and nice red color. If you've never used file bands before, you're in for a treat. These are thin (1/8-inch), long (7-inch) rubber bands that can be used for an endless number of things, from actually binding files (in folders, out of folders, for storage, for mailing, etc.) to sealing chip bags, securing trash bags, organizing piles of stubborn cords, etc., etc. Your imagination and your task list, those are your only limits here. And because they're thin, they fit on all kinds of things and are very easy to stretch, while still remaining impressively durable. I just wish they came in more colors. I really want bright green and bright purple. Oh, I didn't mention: The color-coding opportunities in the Alliance rainbow packs of these are definitely great. And, if you just like colors, there you go. (But, again, they should really add some more colors. This one is only red, but at least it's a new color; the rainbow pack comes with only three colors: pink, blue, and orange...but at least it has some variety.)All in all, I recommend whole-heartedly. Ignore the low reviews some people have given related to size. Amazon fixed its typo that they're all commenting on.

I had access to these during my work years and they always came in handy when bundling a large amount of paperwork - like for end of year archiving, etc. Recently a friend suggested that I strap the power cord for my laptop securely along side it so it did not wear out or damage the plug/connection through everyday use. These bands are perfect for my wide-screen (17"); keeps the cord snuggly along side the laptop with no chance of movement; and no chance of damaging the connection, accidentally (which I've done many times in the past - fortunately, not the actual laptop connection but the plug that goes into it - but that could easily happen, I'm sure). So far, none have snapped and seem very good quality. They will also come in handy for paperwork and the like, I'm sure.

I purchased these to hold my Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child shoebox closed. The bands work on both the length & width of the boxes holding them securely closed. The red color match the boxes.

These are large rubber bands that work great for securing garbage bags to garbage bins. I often see people complaining about rubbers like this not lasting long. Well let me share my little trade secret with you.I am able to get a single rubber band to last for many months. How? Lube baby! I simply use coconut oil or very moist lotions like "Udderly Smooth" and I run the rubber through my fingers, coating it with sweet lubrication. I do this about once every two weeks and the rubbers last so much longer.Of course these can be had for cheap, so you may feel like it's a waste of effort to lube them down. I like everything I buy to last as long as possible, so I'm gonna lube that rubber every time!

Love these and find uses for these big red rubber bands all the time. Big price variation so I try to watch that when purchasing. Guess I should be ordering more than I think I need when I find at a good price.

I bought these to hold the garbage bag down on our kitchen trash can. I could have gotten a smaller size but these work great. Made it much easier to put the inside can inside the base. This trash can has a pedal to step on to raise the lid and I struggled getting the bag down inside the can. This solved all of my issues. Stretch is fantastic. PS: No bad odors. :-)

We use these for many jobs and they last a long time. The two things I like about them, is they fit over the trash can to hold the plastic bags, another is for my model airplanes. You get some good flying time with these.

I bought these exactly 1 year ago to date, August 6, 2023. I needed them for a 9 gallon garbage can. Well within the suggested proper uses.i I have used all 12 and they have broke / split. Looking to find another brand.
