5 Stars – Perfect Gift for My Wife!
I bought the Singer M1500 for my wife, and she absolutely loves it! The machine is super easy to use, even for beginners, and it has all the essential features she needs for her sewing projects. The stitch quality is excellent, and it runs smoothly, making her sewing experience so much more enjoyable. The design is compact but sturdy, and it doesn’t take up much space, which is a bonus in our home. She’s already made several beautiful items with it, and the versatility of this machine is fantastic. It’s a great value for the price, and I’m so glad I got it for her. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, user-friendly sewing machine!

Great little machine for beginners and small projects
I haven't used a sewing machine since 7th grade Home Ec. but found online reviews suggesting this one for beginners. I've made three small lap blankets and a few pillows and have had no issues. Threading the needle and filling a bobbin is easier than I expected but might take a few tries. The thickest I've sewed is a 3 layer blanket (two layers of fabric, batting in the center) and it worked perfectly fine. I did snap a needle, but it was from 4 or so overlapping layers at a corner so I don't blame the machine.I've tried the first four stich settings and they all came out great. Back stitching also works well.I don't know where all these reviews are coming from about jamming. If you're machine is jamming you're probably threading the machine wrong or are somehow misusing it. The manual is on Singers site and there's official YouTube tutorials. What does come in the box directions-wise is a visual guide on how to thread the needle and wrap a bobbin. If you're planning on opening an etsy shop or doing heavy fabrics, this machine probably isn't for you. But if you're just starting out or are sticking to simple projects this is a great first machine.

A simple, durable, quality machine
You can’t go wrong with a Singer! I’m not a great seamstress, but for my needs, this easy-to-use machine fits the bill. I’ve had previous Singer machines, even an antique treadle, that never wore out. I actually worked for Singer corporate offices in CA in the late 70s… they make a great product line. This machine is simple to use, very smooth running, durable, and more quiet than any I’ve owned.

Good for simple sewing tasks. Mechanically reliable & trouble-free.
Took up sewing late in life & bought an older used machine (different brand) from a friend but had trouble with bobbin casing, so I bought this machine for a fresh start. I chose a model on the lower end of the price range, but not the cheapest, because I want to enjoy sewing without frustration. I dont need alot of bells & whistles! Have had it for over a year & am happy with it. I mostly just use it for clothing alterations, repairs & hemming. But have made several items without any issues with material thickness differences, thread tension errors nor thread disasters! This machine has a good variety of stitch designs & is easy to thread & navigate. My only two fusses: The Auto Thread Feature is not easy to use. Needs some further engineering upgrades! I gave up trying to use it. AND The machine does not come with a Manual. C’Mon Singer!!! - How much could it possibly cost to respectively include the Manual? Overall, am happy with this machine.

Horrible first sewing machine
I absolutely hate this machine. Had it two years and only used it a few times because of how difficult and clunky it is. It jams constantly. It's loud and wobbly. The advanced stitch settings don't work so you're limited to basically a straight stitch or zigzag. But today was the last straw, as it couldn't even handle sewing three layers of normal-thickness fabric together. This was my first sewing machine and my disappointment is off the charts. At the very least, I will know what to look for in a new and better machine.
