My husband wore his wool hat to the Detroit Lions playoff game on a bitter cold evening in Detroit. He walked a number of blocks to Ford Field. While there, our daughter wanted to take his picture, he was so proud to be there having flown across country, a gift from her. Someone stole his hat and gloves while she was photographing him and must have been right beside him. After the game, he had to walk back to his car without gloves and a souvenir hat which wasn't warm at all. He froze again and came home sick. I replaced the stolen hat immediately with this item, when he returned. It is very close to the stolen hat in quality, weight and color. So very sad that a happy time for him was marred by someone who was affluent enough to buy a very, very expensive ticket to a playoff game, but too dumb to wear their own hat and gloves and thought it was OK to steal from an old soldier without a thought or care.

I found the Minus 33 Merino Wool Ridge Cuff Beanie to fit my size 7 (hat size) comfortably snug.I like the cuff, as it can be used as an extra layer around the side of my head or, the beanie can be made longer by rolling down the cuff to cover more exposed ares of you face and neck.The material has such a nice hand (feels nice to the touch) and is effective at keeping your head warm and dry.Recently while out snowshoeing, I came across some ladies being guided up the North Fork of the Provo river in Utahs “Uinta” mountains. They noticed my “Minus 33” beanie and commented that it would do great for cycling, as it is not too bulky, and liked the color I had chosen (tan).I have used (and tested) Minus 33 clothing for years and am impressed with the look, fit, feel, and functionality of thisProduct.

Bought this for my winter hike back in December. Very thin but don't let that fool you, it's super warm. Great company as well! Love their products. Will be buying more of their clothing in the future, especially for hiking. Well worth the cost! Fits great!

I love my merino wool hats. I put one on my Christmas list. I wore it in the house, and outside. I wore it to run, but I sweat in it, which is fine when running, but I needed a second one, so I would have a dry hat for our get together after the run. So I ordered a second one. For about 11 years, I have used a Santa hat for my runs around Christmas tide. I wanted a hat without the puff ball, when I did not want to represent Santa. This fits the bill perfectly! Hand wash, hang to dry. Dries quickly enough.I got the matching buff or gator later! The only thing Minus 33 could do to improve their products, is have them produced in a free country.
