Love this bag!
Took this bag on a hike and hot tent camped in 27*F, bag expanded perfectly felt like I wasn’t carrying anything. My only con is that the bottom of the bag doesn’t have a zipper/entry way pocket for my sleeping bag/pad. To be fair the bag can unzip in a U shape I simply prefer the bottom access. The Molle webbing on top and hips was a requirement for me, holds my pistol holster, allows for fast attachments. My 24” axe fits perfectly on outside side area. Nothing but quality this is my new standard go to bag. Will be purchasing more APLS products from now on.

Great
Everything I was hoping. Have not taken it far yet. But holds everything I need for a short camping trip. Love the Molly attachments for hanging my first aid kit and water bottle. And daisy chain for hanging light objects. Great pack. The roll top is also very convenient for different capacities. And the treking pole pockets hold my small forest axe and folding bow saw with no problem.

Nice but
I really like this pack, it holds a lot and is comfortable for the most part, could use more padding in the hip belt and straps. However on the first use the pack stiffener buckled while hiking and was poking into and hurting my back. Was very disappointed and decided to return it.

Game changer
Most comfortable I have used. Innovative waist belt let’s you forget you have 45 pounds on your back.

Not an ideal suspension, and REI staff thought it was poorly built
The reviews for this bag are quite positive, but this hasn't matched my experience.Om the plus side, the easy, front access is great. The hip pockets are large and easy to take off. And there are lots of straps and hooks if you need them. However, the quality of the materials, suspension, and hip padding are all a bit below competitive packs from Osprey, Gregory, etc.The bag brand new had some loose stitching, and the shoulder straps seemed sewed on uneven (per the expert at REI, where I bought the bag). The hip belt is technically removable -- but good luck removing it. They used a super odd velcro system that makes it near impossible to remove (both the folks at REI and I couldn't do it). Yhe limber support is also strangely made... it sits fully above the hip belt so really just into your body. Its also a single layer, firm foam that isn't very comfortable and will make you sweat very quickly.Overall, while they are some cool features on paper, and the ability to change capacity is great, a pack needs to fit well. This just didn't do it for me, and I found it strange the REI team was also confused by the functionality of some of the design choices. It may certainly work for some folks, but it wasn't right for me.
