All three parts came with the syringe, the tube and a metal needle, but I cannot see a way to attach any of those to the syringe, I would’ve appreciated some instruction on this, or maybe there’s an adapter missing?

I have an indoor tree that is quite heavy. When I go to water it, my husband takes it off its normal ceramic dish and puts it onto one of those clear big plastic ones. I then water the tree, and the clear dish catches the excess. I like to keep the dish relatively dry, though, so my tree isn’t just sitting in a big puddle all day (until my husband can help me move it back to its ceramic dish), so I use this to collect the water. I saw a YT video of someone doing the same thing, and this gadget works perfectly.
