These are the best smaller-sized trash cans. Shape is great. Fits 3-4 gallon bags perfectly. Good step action. Simple, stylish exterior looks. Plastic lid top prevents the inevitable and ugly dents that immediately show up on a stainless steel lid. I snagged one that was preowned but really was just an open box return, so the price was even better, but even the usual list price is a good deal.

I have come to like this brand, alongside Oxo and Whitmor. The container is a perfect size for apt. dwelling, where the bag fits easily down the chute. It sits stabile the cats can't topple it over. The matching bags they offer are also better than the 2.6 gal. bags I've purchased of the Amazon brand...theirs don't tear easily at all. Very happy with it.

these are the best form, function, and style.they just hurt the wallet a bitI use one for k85chrn dry trash and next to it adjacent is organicveaste for out door compost.I use a bag to line the dry waste.but for the compost, I dont. it gets dumped and outside hosed and sun dried and back in house for dinner scraps. once a week.

So far so good, sample bags has a tight fit took me 3 minutes to put it on the inner can. Replace with a cheaper brand bag size 17.3x18" and is a perfect fit. Bought a cheap $4 dollar laptop vinyl skin and put it on the boring black lid, and is great now.

I wanted one that would hold grocery bags and had a lid. I hate when hair falls out of the bin. This came with bags or I can use grocery bags. great size.

I am the proud owner of two mischievous ferrets. I love watching their creative ingenuity as they figure out how to get on and IN everything. Well, everything except the trash can that is. They love getting into the trash just because they can and come out smelling like... well, trash. I've tried can after cheap can until...Success! SimpleHuman does it again. I recently purchased their kitchen size stainless steel can and fell in love with it so decided to try this one out for my bathroom.Things I love!- While I know it's more eco-friendly not use plastic grocery bags at all, I still have a ton of them around and this can is designed perfectly to use them. Yes, they stick out a little but I don't mind. They did with all my previous cans (that used grocery bags) too.- Step feature means no more wet, grimy hands trying to hit a pop up lid- It's slim! I have a pretty small bathroom and this fits between the toilet and sink with a little room to spare. Measure and compare with the specs!- The ferrets can't figure out how to open it. I think you're trash is safe from everything but a larger dog knocking it over.- Stainless steel sides means ferrets can find purchase on the sides to climb up. The can is small enough I don't think this would effect cats.Things that are not so great- I haven't had as much luck as other reviewers keeping the smell in. It definitely reduces it but you can tell when it's time to take out the trash.- It slides around a little on the linoleum floor a little when I step on the foot pedal. Not a lot, just a little quarter inch scoot.- Stainless steel shows nose prints. I knew this going in, but still something to keep in mind.All in all I highly recommend this trash can for pet owners or those with small spaces. It looks great and works great!

Ordered this for my kitchen since I like to take the trash out every day and prefer something small. I like that it fits standard grocery bags perfectly, the step lever to open the lid is very solid and feels like it will last. Unfortunately it only took an afternoon for my dog to learn how to step on the lever to open it and it’s perfect height for his face. Luckily it’s small enough to place on the counter or under the sink when necessary. Remarkably after 2 weeks of heavy use it still looks like new and hasn’t gotten nearly as grimy looking as our last kitchen waste basket would after one day. Glad I chose this option due to the plastic top. I thought it would make it look kinda cheap and tacky but it doesn’t look that bad at all and I don’t have to worry about it getting dented or dinged which is inevitable. Wish you couldn’t see the can liner when the lid is closed but that’s my only qualm.
