Hayabusa T3 LX Leather Adjustable MMA Headgear - Brown, One Size

When I get punched in the head, I prefer to both look good and not suffer permanent injury (not in that order). That’s why I chose this headgear, but I 100% agree with all the other reviewer’s critiques about the color of the leather. If you are going to use high quality leather why bleach it to look like plastic?I went with this leather dye (Fiebing’s) meant for boots and shoes (based on reviews and low price). Some tips if you want to do the same:1. Wet thoroughly with a soaked but not dripping towel one area at a time before applying.2. Do smallish areas (like half the forehead’s amount) at a time and apply the stain liberally to wet areas then wipe it away immediately with another cloth. The stain dries super quickly and if you wait long enough for it to dry you’ll have no choice but to go with the darker color it will give you. I foolishly started with the right forehead and if you look carefully at the photo it’s too dark in this area because I didn’t realize how fast the dye penetrates and darkens.3. Aim for light, you can always darken but can’t go backwards. The dye is so liquid that it runs, but that’s ok as long as it’s running into another wet spot and you are ready to wipe it up.4. I did the touch up (like along the seams with the padding inside) wiping off with a wet cloth and this also seemed to do a good job of not causing dark splotches.

Feels amazing! I have peripheral vision wearing this and it's super light with excellent mobility! Absolutely love it. Best I've used yet.

The chin guard is cumbersome likes to ride into your lips when attempting to breathe in between throwing combinations outside of of that great all around product

Well, first of all, it’s ugly. It’s more gray than brown and it looks nothing like brown leather or anything close to the brown represented by the product photo.But, that’s not the worst part, the worst part is that this is far from “one size fits most” since the chin buckle keeps sliding into your mouth, the helmet is tiny [and my face is not large by Western standards, I’m 182cm weighting 72 kilos and have a pretty skinny face shape].Luckily for me, it fits my 7-year-old son, but it's far from being a $200 worth.

Great headgear but I was very disappointed in the color. I bought the whole set gloves/shin gaurds/ etc. and the head gear was a way lighter colored non-matching brown... Other than that it's been good
