These are a great product at a very affordable price. I tend to often modify them as i need. So i go through several sets a year. Very affordable 👌

A perfect set, exactly what I ordered and delivered on time.

I try to arrange the order of operations on the lathe so I don't have to resort to using these things, but every so often there's no way around it which makes them indispensable to have on hand. Unfortunately, the tapered-head socket head cap screws that are used to expand the mandrels are too small to exert sufficient clamping force without stripping out the mating threads in the mandrels. I've buggered up the 1/4 and 3/8 mandrels so far and while I was able to fix the latter by drilling and tapping it for the next standard metric size up (M3-0.6 - same as for the 1/2 mandrel), and making a new tapered-head SHCS for it (the taper angle is 15 degrees, included), I wasn't successful trying this with the 1/4 mandrel. Consequently, mandrels that are simply slightly-tapered rods that are held between centers are probably a smarter choice, especially for the smaller sizes.

Doesn't expand equally, so unless your needing a expanding arbor for a taper then this is pretty much useless!!!! Plus they don't expand as much as you would imagine either!!!!

These work nice to hole the different game calls that I am making.

Better than expected, however will need some minor fine turning. Will buy again to shape to a new needed size.

Works as advertised. Would probably work better if slightly tapered.
