The speed is quite good for its size. I also like the firm click of its on/off switch. Packs down well for travel and other uses. The USB power connection has proved very advantageous for the following circumstances:Once was for a car camping trip in August. Ran it off a USB ported battery bank. Complete luxury item in a tent, but entirely worth it. Power draw seemed reasonable.Used it during a hostel stay that included a communal sleeping situation (bunk beds). Used the fan with an AC power plug from an old iPhone. That was an absolute life saver for air circulation and generating white noise for sleep.Currently, I’m using it to cool a gaming console in my TV cabinet. By leaving the fan’s switch on and plugging it into the console’s USB port means it turns on when the console is woken up. Should increase the console’s lifespan.

The fan is very versatile in term of portability and power source dependency. As the product information stated, I can hold it, hang it anywhere and it can stand on itself with multiple angles when it is on a flat surface. The instructions are also very clear about all of the functionalities. I need a fan because I am the only person who feels warm in the house most of the time. I want something small and light enough to carry around in the house and something doesn’t make loud noise. This fan seems to meet the criteria.It doesn’t have multiple settings for speed and there is no battery or USB adapter included in the package. It only has 1 on/off button for operation and 1 very short DC to USB cable, so drop one star. Due to its low price tag, versatility and the built quality, it is still a great value. The fan is strong enough to push air 3-4 feet around me and its noise level is acceptable. No annoying humming noise or any sounds from rattling parts like other cheap made portable fans I have used.I really like that it takes 4AA batteries for total power independence when I am using it at my backyard. Just a friendly warning. Be gentle with the battery compartment. The removable battery holder can only go one way and do not force it. If it doesn't go in easily, it is not being inserted correctly with the right orientation. It is hard to tell which side goes first either, so pay attention to it. The manufacturer should have put an arrow or something. And make sure to put the black ribbon in before the battery holder and leave part of the ribbon out, so the ribbon will let you pull the holder out easily. I learned it the hard way and I needed a plier when I forgot that the very first time.It can also take a DC power source from any power bank or any devices with a USB port. I actually have a few DC power adapters (100 mA to 400 mA) from those old electronics that were already recycled. They are just sitting around in my drawers. I kept them because somehow I knew they may be useful some day, and today is the day. They power this small fan perfectly. The fan can take a maximum of (0.5A) 500 mA in DC based on the safety guidance at the back of the fan, so it is perfectly safe to use my old DC adapters. I keep 1 around my couch, 1 in my office and 1 in my bedroom, so I don’t need to worry about batteries consumption often. I also noticed that the fan gives a very high speed when I use the 400 mA adapter, but it gives a very low speed when I use the 100 mA adapter, so now I can set my own fan speed setting according to my temperature preference and liking.It has been over a week now and it seems to be durable. I will update any irregularity and abnormal wear and tear. Hope it will last at least one summer, then I am getting my money worth.

I have bought this fan 3 times over the years and it never fails to please. A little about me: I am a hardcore fan user. I simply cannot sleep if I don’t have some sort of consistent air blowing on my face. I had my first one for about 4ish years, second one for about 2, and I just repurchased again last week so their durability is pretty solid. It’s a bit of a battery hog because it requires four batteries but the amount of life in those batteries makes it worth it. I can usually use it for several nights and I use it for about 8-10hrs continuously. It only has one speed that has pretty decent power and it makes just enough noise to put me to sleep. It’s small enough that it doesn’t take up a ton of room in your bags and light enough to take everywhere. I’ve used several little fans over the years but nothing has had comparable longevity and power. I will always recommend this!

I chose this brand over the other options from unknown manufacturers. Popped brand new batteries and turned it on. While on the phone, I heard a loud pop and a hissing noise. I looked at the fan, upon touch it was hot so I immediately pulled out the battery cartridge. It was oozing liquid from the batteries. Mind you, my batteries were new so I’m thinking the actual product was overheated the batteries because all 4 were oozing liquid.I’m not an engineer so I can’t point a finger at the exact issue but if you buy this product, keep an eye on it on the initial set up. Maybe this wasn’t meant to be on for more than 30minutes. I get overheated when blow drying my hair so the intended use was to have a breeze while I domy hair and makeup.

For the first use, the fan worked with new batteries about 9 hours but then quit. I bought new batteries today to put in the fan, these new batteries lasted about 5 hours.Cute fan and probably will work great with electricity. There is no outlet where I need this fan, however. Therefore, the need for batteries.
