amscan (PKT) (9904730) Child Glaring Reaper Costume (4-6yr)

My grandson wanted to go out for Hallowe'en as 'The Grim Reaper' and nowadays we BUY costumes, granny doesn't make them (sigh...) so Harry and I went looking. This was.....scarey. I really wouldn't want this costume arriving at my door, but the folks where Harry lives are made of sterner stuff...., they have kids his age who go to school with him.... And, when it arrived and he tried it on, he LOVED it. Word of warning though. He's 8 and a wee thin boy. The seller didn't have size 8-10 costumes left, so I bought the bigger size up, thinking that flowing might be good. We did have to shorten it at the bottom...but there was NO flowing. Maybe, for an indoor party, the smaller size would have fitted, but we go round the doors outside in Scotland, so I'm glad we bought the bigger one. He had a great time with his brother and their pals and they all told him the costume was great so he's as pleased as punch. But the red eye mask thing was too fiddly and heavy to wear outside. I think his mum's going to keep it till next year. A really great bargain though. We're all delighted with it.

Fantastic costume 👏

This costume looked great. My 7 year old sonloved wearing it for Halloween. I ordered his normal size and the fit was great.Costume is good quality and looks very similar to the picture on the packet. It wasn’t cheap but on delivery I think it’s worth the money especially as it comes with battery operated mask.The only negative is that the mask comes with a little battery pack which makes it quite heavy and hard to stay on. The batteries are included and the lights look great but as the mask kept slipping after some great photos my son decided to wear the costume without the mask. It still looked great and scary as the hood covers the whole face.I’m sure he will wear it again and I would definitely recommend.

Nice little costume, little one loved it but the material wasn’t great and started to tear after one wear, also came quite large, mask for the light up eyes broke pretty much straight away, the battery snapped from the wire so that was disappointing but he couldn’t see with the mask on anyway, other than that it’s okay definitely wouldn’t spend that much on it tho

Originally we were disappointed that there was no axe included, however the costume is great and well worth the money on its own. My daughter wore it for the entire hallowe’en weekend and to several parties - she’d stand in dark corners with the glowing eyes on waiting to scare people. We made her a scythe by spray painting some card from the Amazon box and attaching it to a wooden broom handle with drawing pins, the end result was a real success.

Can't leave any more than one star as the item was missing the gloves, the LED lights and the battery pack (so basically most of the costume), leaving it pretty useless.Edit: I returned the item and ordered a replacement which came very quickly and had all the correct parts so I'll write this one off as one of those things. The actual costume is pretty good. I'd recommend making the eye holes a bit bigger in the mask but the quality is pretty good. Upgrading to 4 stars, misses a 5 as I was messed about having to go to the post office to return the first one.
