The original fell apart after 20yrs this replacement is perfect

Purchased Nov, 2022, Edit May, 2023:Lasted 6 months of approx 2 hours per day sitting in the chair and the foam ripped where it joins with the clip that holds it to the chair. Dookie, do not buy...This is exactly like the OEM in looks.The fingers that hold the support to the chair are a hair looser than the OEM, however not enough to affect it's utility. The lumbar support stays in place with no problems and actually is easier to adjust when needed b cause of the less firm grasp.There are no manufacturing defects, funky smells or other issues I can find. I've been using it daily for at least 2 weeks, and I give it a major thumbs up.The price is quite reasonable and the quality is very good.

I was fortunate enough to get a great deal on a used Aeron Classic but it was missing the lumbar support. I did a lot of combing through reviews and felt best about this one in particular. I'm glad that I did because, so far, so good. It fits well, doesn't move around on its own and is comfortable material. I certainly recommend it!

As others have said, the support slips and needs adjustment almost every time you sit on it for the first time of the day. So the support is good, until it isn’t in a few hours. Mine happens to slip down, not up.I can live with it. Besides, there doesn’t seem to be any alternative.

Our old lumbar support finally broke off at the ends after many years of use. These replacements are great and quality/fit is perfect for our chair. Its just like the original. No buyer's remorse!

Update 9/10/21:Well it finally shattered completely today. So that's it - it lasted 6 weeks under normal use for a relatively light person. Wouldn't recommend buying this unless you are specifically looking for a very temporary solution.Original review:Not sure what other reviewers are talking about when they say this item doesn't fit or pops off easily. Mine fits perfectly and has never come off. It's comfortable and has helped a lot with my lower back pain.Downside is the clips on the side are cheap plastic. A couple other reviewers noted this and mentioned the clips breaking, but I figured they were just overweight. I can now confidently say that's not the case. I'm 5'7" and 134 lbs and the clips are still breaking regularly. There is a long row of plastic semicircles on each side that hold this thing in place, and about once a week one of those clips shatters. At this rate I imagine the support will last a few months at most.Really a shame, because otherwise this support is perfect. I wish they had reinforced the clips with steel or something to keep this from happening.

Fits and works just like the OEM part. Just make sure you the correct size for you chair. The item originally suggested (from a previous purchase) was the wrong size. I had send it back and get the correct size.

Clips broke off immediately upon install. In terms of cushion, it's like a cinder block compared to the original Herman Miller lumbar pad. This is not a good replacement at all.
