Great for sparring
According to my son, this sword is high quality, great for sparring, looks good for costumes (realistic looking, as opposed to a Nerf/cartoonish sword). Not afraid that the fiberglass inner core will break, feels very sturdy. Have used it in a few swordfights/spars, and it looks just the same as when he got it. Also, it's good that the handguard slides on, you can choose to use it or not use it, and having the handguard removable makes it impossible for it to be a weak point on the sword or break off, and also you can easily adjust if it starts feeling wobbly. The foam rubber is harder than a Nerf sword, but still safe to hit with, unless playing against young children. We'll see about the long-term durability but for now, 5 stars.

Really hefty, slight wobble, but looks great for Deadpool cosplay...
...with some modification.I'll upload pictures of before / after they're modified. The suba is bigger than I expected... in fact, the whole sword is larger than expected. The blade is thick and meaty, the handle is pretty thick, too.I gave this 5 stars for the price and quality.(I'll be cutting 10" off the handle, trimming the suba down to a smaller square size, sliding the suba down the blade and finally sliding 1" pvc down the remaining rear end to make a thinner handle.)

Beautiful but be careful with the tips of the sword.
These are large and very pretty. Great for cosplay. We bought them for our grade school aged sons to play with. We like that they were rubberized material and not plastic. These still hurt if you are hit with them but the impact is better than a plastic sword. My only complaint is that the stabilizing rod does not extend all the way to the tip of the sword so the tip is prone to bend. Our tips bent and one eventually tore. In fairness our sons are rough on things and most of their swords break at some point.

Dang I’m impressed
I bought this and another item for me and my buddies to fight each other with, and wow! The durability is crazy good! It’s held up really well for a bunch of 19 year olds beating each other with. Hard enough for it to hurt when you’re hit but not enough to cause a bruise or anything worse. If you’re buying this for your kids I’d warn them that it is a lot harder than other foam swords if they’re going to play fight with it.No issues here though,, take my 5 stars and enjoy them.

Totally Gnarly, Radical and Tubular!!!!
Yes, friends, the new turbo ginsu. Wa-hoo! It dices, it slices, and it makes French fries and three different...OK...TMNT aside, it's a pretty wicked piece of kit. I got two of them to go in the back cross-sheath of my Deadpool Halloween costume. They are very durable, you could probably even whack living creatures without killing them (I am totally not advocating violence here, to be clear) and still have something that looks like a katana afterwards.

I purchased two of these for a Deadpool cosplay. I didn't notice the measurements when I ordered them. They are very long. At first I thought they would be too big for the costume, but after putting them in the back harness/holster/holder they look great! They have a cartoony look which fits the costume well. If you want more realism, you'll need to paint the handle or wrap it. They are completely soft foam so they meet convention requirements for costume weaponry. There are more realistic hard plastic or hard foam katanas out there, but these are a great price for a large prop.

Boy fun
My grandsons have always enjoyed sword fighting. It starts with watching Peter Pan fight pirates and on through Star Wars standing in for light sabers. There is a tall basket in the closet with an assortment of plastic and nerf swords. The nerf swords were getting pretty beat up so I went looking for a replacement. Goodness, the 11 year old fell in love with this sword! Of course I let him take it home and Mom said he fell asleep with it at the foot of his bed. Days later he is still running around outdoors with his friends sword fighting. Love it when a purchase hits that sweet spot—fun and active play
