So nice
I decided to leave a review after I washed these a few times. WOW! They don't disappoint! I sleep so soundly. Cool, soft and wash so well. A little more pricey than I am used to, but so worth it. Shams are rather large, but with an extra pillowcase on the pillow under it, it's fine.

Just what I have been searching for
I have been searching for a long time for a lightweight cover for our bed to use during the summer. We live in NC & have hot summers but do have air-conditioning. I found cotton blankets to be too hot. We happened to stay in a Marriott suite hotel in June and they had this product on the bed and it was absolutely perfect and exactly what I’ve been looking for. After a little detective work with contacting Marriott directly and then the hotel directly I was pointed to Standard Textile Company which manufactures this product. They happen to be out of stock. Then I found it on Amazon and it was actually cheaper and it was in stock. Same product just a different retail source. I ordered it. It’s absolutely perfect. It’s just the right weight to give you the right amount of warmth without being hot. I use it in lieu of a blanket. It covers the bed very nicely and has enough drop on the side that it covers the extra high mattress completely. It’s so easy to launder, it’s just like a bed sheet. You just wash it and dry it and the puckered texture looks nice and I think it must be those little air bubbles in the puckering that gives you that little bit of insulation to keep you warm without making you hot. I can’t say that it’s a good value because I think it’s rather expensive considering it’s a sheet. The king size cost $100. To me that’s a lot of money for a single sheet. Since I have been looking for years for a product like this I was willing to pay that price to get what I wanted and I’m very happy with it. I bought the pillow shams so that the bed looks complete.(Edit) - I had to come back & edit my review after reading some of the negative comments. I agree not all people will agree but I wanted to clarify if you haven't seen this coverlet in person. We used one in a Marriott suite hotel & loved it. It has a rippled texture that happens when the coverlet is laundered. I realize some buyers may get a defective product but if you READ the directions upon receipt it instructs you to WASH the cover (or shams) in the hottest water setting & dry on high heat THE FIRST TIME to produce the puckering effect. Mine came out of the package with ripples but I did wash mine as instructed & it did pucker even more. The instructions also say to only wash on high heat the first laundering & then launder like regular laundry after that. This is a fabric blend of 65% polyester & 35% cotton. It is like a regular bed sheet in weight. Some reviews complained it was thin. That is why I like it. It's not heavy. It may be the fabric blend or the texture but for us w/ our AC set at 74 & a ceiling fan on it offers the perfect amount of warmth. As I mentioned above in the initial review, I have tried some cotton blankets & they were hot. This is just right for us....Before I found this item I used a regular flannel sheet on top of my flat sheet for cover. That worked for comfort & warmth but I still had to make the bed w/ my regular comforter. With this bedding as pictured in my photo, I packed away my heavy comforter & I use this coverlet on top of my bed sheets in lieu of a bedspread, quilt, or comforter. I bought the shams to coordinate with it. This coverlet has a nice finished 2" hem on all 4 sides so it has a nice finished look better than a standard hemmed flat sheet.....I have washed it (after initial hot wash) once since buying & I washed on Permanent Press settings & dried on the same. It looks great. I love that it is like a sheet & so easy to launder. My comforters are "dry clean only" so this is great & I can toss it in the washer with my sheets when I change the bed linens.

Overpriced, but definitely worth it
I am a bedding "snob" and am very picky about my bed looking pristine. I have used a white duvet cover for years and I am tired of having to wash it every week and wrestle for 20 minutes each time to get the duvet insert back into the cover. It's exhausting. After staying in a hotel recently, I discovered the "triple sheet method". Most hotels are now using a thicker "top sheet" as a duvet cover instead of a traditional duvet cover. I decided to try it with this Marriott cover and it is life changing. YES THIS IS BASICALLY A GLORIFIED TOP SHEET. But that is the point. However, it looks like a duvet cover when it is on your bed if you do it the right way. It is so much better washing this each week with my regular sheets and each time I wash it, it retains the "crinkly" look and looks fresh and crisp. I use two duvets b/c I like a really thick, fluffy look. I have my regular top sheet, my 2 duvets, and then this cover on top; the duvets are sandwiched between this cover and a regular top sheet. I tuck in all sides "envelope style" and the bed looks great! I will admit that $100 for a glorified top sheet is a bit excessive, however if you want the look of a duvet cover but the ease of washing a sheet, it's well worth the price.

Overpriced sheet
Super disappointed. Please read carefully since, it’s just the coverlet which is not even 100% cotton for $100. Doesn’t come with the pillow cases. Overpriced and not soft at all. I am not sure if it’s the original one what I saw at the hotel.

Upgrade for summer months
These coverlets are just like the ones in the hotel. I like them because they are not heavy and wash easily. A nice change for your summer bed.
