The Perfect Secret Santa Gift – A Back to the Future Fan's Dream!"
I bought this Back to the Future strategy board game as a Secret Santa gift for a friend in their mid-40s, and it was a total hit! While I didn’t play it myself, my friend—who’s a huge fan of the film—was absolutely thrilled. They loved all the nostalgic references and how the game really brings the film to life. From what I’ve heard, the gameplay is engaging and full of strategic twists, making it perfect for someone who enjoys a bit of a challenge. It’s definitely a great gift for anyone who loves the films or is into strategy games. If you’re looking for something fun and thoughtful, this is a winner! The Best Bits:Perfect for Back to the Future fans, packed with iconic film referencesHigh-quality design and pieces that capture the essence of the moviesA great choice for fans of strategy gamesProvides hours of engaging gameplay

Great fun, lovely art work
Such a fun game! I love cooperative board games and this one is great. Different levels of difficulty and a different game being played every time depending on the deal of the cards. Some rules are a little vague as you go through the game, but overall brilliant. The art work on the cards is great as well

Great co-operative fun once you get going
This is a really fun co-operative game based on the Back To The Future franchise. It does a great job of capturing what made the movies fun and replicating them in a board game. So, like in the movies you really feel against the clock, and once you get going you really have to work hard to 'not be in the same place in time in time' and worrying about paradoxes....A number of reviews address dice and luck as a potential negative. I think it makes the game as it forces you to really adapt your game plan. Once we got our head around it we found really creative ways to use the dice to achieve objectives. It's aimed at 10+ but my 7 year old could join in fine (and indeed spotted things mum and dad didn't).I agree with some other reviews related to the ruleset, it does take a bit to get your head round them but after a couple of turns we found we got there quite intuitively. The presentation and materials is first class, although I would love board games with cards to 'preshuffle' them. We found no matter how much we shuffled them we got cards grouping together. We didn't 'win' in our first game and felt we struggled, even on 'beginner' but that's not the point. The cooperation led to a fun hour or so playing.Highly recommended

Fun with just the right amount of complex
A bought this as both a fan of the movies and a fan of Ravensburger's villainous series and it did not disappoint. It took a bit of time to learn it as the rules are quite extensive, but once we did, we enjoyed it a lot and were able to successfully restore the space time continuum just before running outta time!My only complaint is that the cards are quite hard to shuffle as they tend to stay bunched together, but I imagine this will get better as we play it more.

Bit boring
My 11 year old son saw this in a shop and asked for it for Christmas. We have only played it once but it was a bit of a boring game and not been picked up since last Christmas unfortunately

Make like a review.......and leave!!!
Wanted to counter-balance the 1 star review(s) to give this product a bit more justice as it would be a massive shame to see this little gem slip by a board gamers radar. From a personal standpoint, my board gaming levels of choice are between Beginner (for a nice, quick relaxing time) to Medium (a good thinker without being bogged down remembering rules). This stands between the two I'd say. Once you've played just a couple of rounds whilst following the book, you're well in and away for the foreseeable. It becomes apparent that strategy grows through trial and error. Lose one, learn. Lose one, get further, learn. The gameplay engine feels really tight which is always a joy in this hobby and the theme feels awesome. Travelling through time, avoiding your future/past self, standing up to Biff, even leaving items in one time zone for future-you so as to help out in the future. It's all here and it plays out wonderfully. Can't recommend highly enough for BTTF and non-fans too. It just plays out too well to not be liked by any board game enthusiast really. Even the dice element (a personal worry for me in the hobby as it breeds luck elements) is so satisfying and is naturally tweak-able within the rules to make an okay roll great.Definitely pleased as punch with the purchase. Play Horrified too. It's structured quite similarly and is just as amazing. 😁

Great game
This was a Christmas present for my 10 year old and it’s been the one thing he’s just wanted to keep playing For the last two days. An absolute hit! My 14 year old has been really engaged by it also.It took a couple of goes to really get to grips with the rules but once mastered the game is really simple. We’re finding that beating the dinosaurs is satisfyingly tricky and enjoy the teamwork aspect of working together as humans. The game nicely draws story elements from the original Jurassic Park movie. Games probably last 20-30 mins; long enough to be interesting but quick enough to be able to jump in for a ‘quick game’.The board and pieces are well made and I expect them to last. Would definitely recommend to dino fans.
