Solid replacement - good kit
my kid's iPod's original battery was down to 1 hour run time, decided it's time to refresh. Tried this product which seems to be a direct replacement for a 6th Gen Apple iPod. Shipping was quick, included tool kit was really good.Overall, good product if you need to replace your battery.

Didn't last 2 months.
I purchased this product In June and its is now August and the battery is not working. It goest from empty to full green on the battery indicator. I have to leave it plugged in to keep the ipod powered on.I will attempt to contact the seller. I can't find the ability contact them any where on Amazon. It seems like I will have to leave this review in order to have them to contact me for the warranty. I will keep you guys updated on how this is handled.

Battery fit and works perfectly
This battery works perfectly and fit perfectly! Keep in mind that minor soldering is required for this. This is due to Apple having soldered connection for the OEM battery. Was able to easily line up and solder the battery's ribbon cable to my iPod. Whether you have solder experience or not, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using solder paste. You can apply a dot of it using a toothpick, to the top of the 3 solder points on the cable. Hold the cable in place with one hand, making sure it is lined up appropriately (YouTube videos have lots of tutorials for this). With the solder paste in place, it just requires a quick full 1 second touch of the tip of the soldering iron, to each of the 3 connections.

Not for everyone
This is a good price for the battery, but the tool kit implies that changing the battery is something you can do yourself. For the most part, it is not. We still had to take it to a repair store to have it replaced, better price since we had a new battery, but the case has some type of glue that holds it in that you need to heat to remove so you can change the battery. Not in my skill set. Apple really has you here as it would be easy to try and then you ruin your iPod and need to purchase a replacement.

Battery for iPod touch 6g is not good
The battery arrived in excellent condition. I installed using a YouTube video, some skill and patience is required. I won’t say the battery is great or bad because in general the iPod touch 6g may have some issues with the battery indicator and I can’t determine the battery condition based on the indicator. It does perform better than the battery I replaced but not as well as a another battery I replaced on my iPod touch 5g.Update-sept 1, 2019.It appears this battery is not holding up. It charges to full way too quickly (1/2 hour). This is a sign that the battery is not good. The battery also discharges even when the device is powered down. Another sign of a poor battery. It also drains faster than it should when being used.

Ya instalada y funcionando
Es una bateria de flex, tengo conocimientos de soldadura y la instale correctamente, funcionando y carga normal, problemas de calibracion pero ya es cosa del equipo.

Not for a DYI Project.
The tools that came with this product was flimsy and broke with my first attempt to use them. They weren’t made with strong material and could not withstand even the slightest force when I tried to wedge them between the casing on my iPod 6. Although the package included all kinds of tools it lacked the most essential one, which is the special strip needed for soldering the battery and the main board. I ended up destroying my iPod so unless you are good with this kind of task this is not a do-it-yourself project.
