Fantastic budget pack knife!
Truly, I can't think of a better knife for a budget pack knife. I own a lot of knives, and this particular model blows a lot of my higher end ones out of the water with edge retention, utility, and durability. I've backpacked nearly 500 miles with this dangling off my pack (not recommended unless you modify the sheath to retain the knife harder like I did), and this is almost always the first knife I reach for when I need to use one. Let's talk about the pros and cons of this amazing knife.Pros:1.) Edge retention and sharpening- because it's a carbon blade, it's going to retain its edge more than other knives in this price range. Not only that, it's a scandi grind, and is therefore easier to sharpen than most other microbevel blades.2.) Ergonomics- While I have massive hands and sometimes feel a little cramped on the handle, it's ergonomically sound for people with normal human sized hands.3.) Grip- I've used this knife multiple times in the rain, mud, and snow, and have never lost my grip. The polymer and rubberised coating they've used on this knife provide excellent grip in most conditions. I did jokingly use this while freshwater diving (Highly NOT recommended), and I did notice some slippage while I was underwater.4.) Durability- I've dropped this thing, smacked it on rocks (NOT recommended) and have all around abused this poor knife, and it's still almost like new with a few blemishes here and there. The carbon steel holds up amazingly well, especially when you've established a patina.Cons:1.) Slightly too small for massive sasquatch hands, with the heel of the handle digging in if I'm using it to process kindling.2.) The sheath is almost garbage. It's cheap (What do you expect for this price?) and doesn't hold the blade very well. I used a heat gun to modify mine a little, and it works exceptionally well now.3.) If you don't know how to care for a carbon blade (like some of the people leaving lower star reviews), it will rust, and you may end up damaging your blade due to neglect.4.) Not as much of a con as it's more of my preference, but it's a rat tail tang instead of a full, which could lend itself to some breakage down the road, but I have yet to run into that.Overall, this is a fantastic pack knife for new and experienced backpackers, hikers, and outdoors enthusiasts. I will continue to use Morakniv for their superior quality for price, and outstanding utilitarian designs, and can not recommend this knife enough.

Great little knife
I've bought several of the Morakniv Companions with the 4.1" blade, but I like this shorter one a bit more. It fits in my cargo pants front hip pockets easier (less visible), and I don't need the extra blade length for anything. The sweet spot for cutting most things is about 1"-1.5" along the blade, just ahead of the handle, and these knives give me that. The reason I keep buying them is because I give them as gifts or sometimes I lose them. It happens, but the price is so reasonable that I never worry about it. I love these little knives and carry one with me pretty much everywhere I go. I live in the country, but they are handy no matter where I am.

Good knife with some odd design choices
For a sub $20 knife, this is a five star product. Crazy sharp, comfortable, and durable, like all Mora knives. When compared to other Moras, I'm a little less impressed... but just a little. While I really like the blade geometry (thin, short, with a wide belly), I'm not really sold on the new grip design. The Companion grip design was close to perfection. The Pro C grip feels a little too bulky and overwrought. The choil at the base is pointless, sometimes it gets in the way. The finger guard is fine, and was part of what I wanted for my own purposes, but this same blade minus the guard would be more generally useful. Mine has a noteable gap between the blade and the hilt--nothing a bead of glue wont seal up, but left alone it will eventually get jammed with dirt/wood shavings/food/whatever.The plastic sheath, on the other hand, is Moras best yet. The knife fits and retains well, sheath is solidly built, and has an excellent belt clip. Less functional is the belt loop option, which seems poorly placed and an afterthought. The button clip has been upgraded it seems, but that's not how I roll, so I cant say if it works.Overall, the Companion is a better knife, but the Pro C is still a great tool with a blade geometry not found on other Moras. I use my Companion for general farm work, but I wanted a finger guard and a shorter, wider blade for messy, wet, fast paced work. The Pro C fits the bill, despite my grumbling about the new grip design, and will probably be my go-to blade this harvest season. For a sub $20 beat em up work knife, you cant go wrong.

Great knife
Someone recommended the Morakniv company so I checked them out. This $15 knife is great. I got another knife at the same time which looked cool. This Morakniv is kind of plain looking. The other knife was extremely dull. I shaved my arm hair down right out of the box with this Morakniv. The sheath is simple but I love it. The knife clicks firmly into the sheath. The sheath clips quickly onto my sweats or gym shorts. I rarely wear belts so this is the perfect sheath for me. The knife now sits securely in the sheath next to my chair. The sheath snaps onto the outer edge of a box I use for my medicines. I'll be buying more from this company.
