Q: Would this mount to the bottom of a round piece of wood then sit on a counter or do I need a 2nd smaller piece of wodd to act as and attach as base?

It would be able to sit on a counter. However I don't know the size of the top round piece of wood. If the top round piece is bigger then 6 inches/152.5mm it may tip if the weight of the items on it were not equalized.

Q: Could you use this to swivel a stool?

I bought 4 of these to use in some bar stools. Way too flimsy even though it says it will support 300 lbs. I weigh 160 and it bent immediately. I wouldn't recommend these for anything other than a lazy susan.

Q: What is the distance between the holes diagonally? Could I use these for small bar stools?

Hello, I do not have the distance diagonally, but I do have the distance from center hole to center hole across each side: 3.188". I do have a drawing I can send to you. You can email us and Ill send you the tech drawing of this item with all the specs we have.

Q: Glue-able to a 12" round piece of plastic that has no hardward for spinning?

Hello, yes this item can be glued. Some people use cement glue.
