Not for the faint of heart, especially Requeim. A real bargain, two for eleven bucks. Picture quality is great on both discs.Nonstop action. Make sure the children are not in the room

Aliens vs. Predators - Excellent Display of Creature FX!!!
Honestly, I'm surprised at how much I just enjoyed revisiting these two movies. I've been kind of giving these a hard time since I saw them originally upon release, as corny stories meant to bring Alien and Predator back to life in the mid-2000s for money. However, watching them 10 years later with all of the special features has given me so much joy and a new appreciation for productions such as these. I definitely will be watching these again in the near future, and would rank them just as well amongst some of the original films.AvP probably has the better story of the two, and serves to bring both creatures back into the cinema, and does a pretty good job. I had completely forgotten about the turn on the Predator and it made the movie really enjoyable to see this other side of the Predators. It doesn't really fit with prior stories and the Predators kind of destroying everything in sight, but it works for the film because of the newfound conflict. I like how they give some history of the conflict between Aliens and Predators, and there's plenty of good creature violence & action despite being PG-13. I have no idea why there were any complaints when this film came out, it's a fun mashup with plenty of goods.AvP: Requiem definitely has a weaker story, as it's meant to bring the AvP conflict into a more human environment like the city, and it does a good job of doing so. However, the addition of the Predalien really makes this possible because the human stories throughout are hit or miss. There's kind of a high school teenage drama at the center of the film, but the characters all have internal conflicts and issues that play out into the story. Seeing the Predators come to try and eradicate the Aliens and Predalien from Earth was fun, and they really, really up the ante on gore & violence for this one due to the complaints about the first movie not being R-rated like the original films were. There are not a ton of special features, but there are two commentaries for each film. The commentary with cast & director on AvP is not great, because Sanaa Lathan cannot resist the urge to be "funny" & the center of attention. It later comes to light throughout the commentary that they are drinking wine, which may be the excuse for some of the behavior, but I was quite annoyed by her frequent interjections. The second commentary is with the crew who are behind the creature FX, which was really interesting and I'm glad I watched. It's what began to shed some new light on the quality of the movie and the marriage between VFX and practical in the special effects realm, which I'm a huge fan of. AvP: R also has a director's commentary, which lucky for us is also part of the VFX crew, so they really dive deep into the VFX and how they made the film look and have plenty of fun facts about the movie's production. The second commentary again are the two involved with playing the creatures and some of the visual FX, and this time they're not as good as they were in AvP, but it was still interesting. They spend most of the commentary selling their book and taking jabs at one another, which is fun but not informative.Overall, I highly recommend this double feature of AvP series and I really wish we had a 3rd movie to wrap up what a potential trilogy could have been for this. These are much better than most would lead you to believe, and perhaps better than you had remembered like I experienced. I am so glad I re-purchased these on Blu-ray. My only complaint would be that the second film is very dark and at times hard to see, but you'll learn through features that it's to try and tone down the visuals on the creatures so that you never see the FX too well and take yourself out of it being "believable". Both the theatrical and director's cuts are on this release as well, it's a really great set for the price.

Great set
Two movies on one disc. I love taking up less space and owning the physical copy still.

Decent movie
This is an OK movie. Some parts are a little cheesy. I won't ruin it if you haven't seen it. I bought it to add to my collection of Allien and Predator movies.

Always a Classic!
I gave this to my partner as a Christmas gift, and he flipped out. He and I are into this genre, and we like to watch and review each movie we watch. The DVD sets arrived in mint condition.
