This magnetic cube offers the best bang for your buck.(TL;DR): If you are not extremely particular about fine adjustments of your cube (which most people aren't), this magnetic cube is by far one of the best budget magnetic cubes (I purchased this one for $14 before tax in mid-2020).I own GAN 356 X & GAN 356 M Lite (to add context for parents who may be looking to buy one for their children: GAN's magnetic cubes are widely used during WCA competitions - Feliks Zemdegs, arguably the best-known cuber, uses the GAN 356 XS, and those "competition-grade" cubes are usually around $40-$80); so having said that, this "YJ Yulong V2 M" cube is my favorite cheap "beater" cube to use (i sometimes prefer it over my pricier GAN cubes).PROS, YJ Yulong V2 M:- It's a 14 dollar 3x3 cube that pretty much performs like a $60 cube: The faster speed of YJ Yulong V2 (which can be adjusted) & the sensible strength of its magnet (its magnet is considered "*strong") wouldn't stop this cube to be solved under 5 seconds from the top cubers. *I wish I can give hard numbers on its magnet strength as a reviewer, kind of like MK key switch actuation force rating in Centinewtons, but this isn't the case yet for the cubing market.- "quiet" 3x3 cube: This cube was quieter than my other decent $10 magnetic 3x3 (that 3x3 may just need to be lubed properly, but YJ Yulong V2 M never felt "scratchy" out of the box)- Sufficiently discernable color scheme (under most lighting conditions + non-colorblind people): Even if your eyes may not be colorblind, some cubes have color schemes where red & orange sides can look too similar (like Amazon's very popular non-magnetic D-FantiX Cyclone Boys 3x3 Speed Cube). In contrast, the YJ Yulong V2 M's red & orange are clearly discernable. But like any popular 3x3's, the yellow & white sides can become harder to discern under lights that are "warmer" (i.e., the usual 2700k lighting temperature of light bulbs that produce "warmer" light colors, like incandescent lights or LED's with 2700k lighting temp)... but this is nit-picking.CONS, YJ Yulong V2 M, (These are NOT major issues, but if I were to be hyper-critical):- Doesn't allow custom magnets out of the box like pricier cubes (but this issue is not very significant for most - even for serious cubers). And it would be unrealistic to expect the $14 cube to feature customizable magnets anyway.- Its ABS plastic can get a bit slippery to the touch. But to be fair, PBT plastic cubes are really hard to find - I only know that GAN 356 M (ones released in 2020) feature plastic surfaces that seem to be PBT (much like mechanical keyboard keycaps, the texture of PBT plastics is generally preferred, as PBT doesn't get "slippery" from the oils that are inevitably produced from human hands.Conclusion: If you are a serious competitive cuber (or just an enthusiast) who needs multiple 3x3 to practice (1 while you're at school, 1 at home, 1 while traveling... etc.), you can buy multiple YJ Yulong V2 M's for the price of 1 GAN cube (GAN magnetics cubes are great, but they are usually $40-$80 as I have already mentioned).YJ Yulong V2 M is a solid magnetic 3x3 for $14.

If all you've ever used is an original Rubik's cube, then you don't yet understand just how big a difference using a speed cube like this will make in your enjoyment of solving the puzzle.I purchased a Rubik's cube for my son this last Christmas, and I ended up playing with it for about a week before I went to YouTube to learn a system for solving it. Once I learned to solve it, I started looking for ways to solve it more quickly.I found a "Solve it in 5 seconds" video on YT that noted it's not realistic for a newbie to solve the cube in 5 seconds unless it's set up, sort of like a trick, and that getting faster requires a ton of practice and a solid understanding of the basic steps/sequences that need to happen in order to solve the puzzle quickly. One of the tools that was mentioned was getting a faster cube, and this is one of the cube's the guy recommended for lower budgets.Being that I'm new to this, I didn't want to jump in with an expensive cube. I took the recommendation and purchased this cube, and it's fantastic. It comes in a nice box (for those who care about such things), is smooth and quick to work with, and is sturdy.I haven't had any issues with it and I solve it probably 10-15 times daily as I work on getting faster. My son fell in love with it as well and I bought a second cube for him. It is identical to the first one and is just as smooth, quick, and sturdy.At this point, I'd go ahead and give this product my full recommendation. Granted, it has only been a month, but I use it a lot and it's showing no signs of wear. For any other fellow newbs out there, this cube is the way to go.

This has become my favorite puzzle out of about twenty including the Moyu RS3. The surface is glossy and gives a nice grip. It's on the lighter side in weight and turns pretty smoothly. Corner cutting is substantial. I feel as if I can err beyond 45 degrees forward or reverse and can still make the turn. The magnets are slight, but you can feel them.I'm not a fan of the yellow color on this cube. Very occasionally, a corner will turn, and I've had a piece pop on me once in what must have been thousands of solves. But those are my only complaints.Unlike the RS3, there is no built-in mechanism to adjust the tension. But no matter how many other puzzles I play with, I keep coming back to this one.

Cube is about as quiet as you snoring, outer corner cut is about half, inner is about 1/4, pretty smooth, everything's evenly tensioned when I got it, magnets are fine, pieces don't fall out unless you wrangle it. I would say it's a great budget cube, but shipping almost cost as much as the cube itself. If you're used to stiffer cubes you'll keep doing double turns for a few hours.

I got this cube because I wanted to try to get a bit more serious about speed cubing, and I was also tired of my original Rubik's cube's action. Constantly getting hung up at corners, and such-like. I did a fair amount of research on cubes, and while this cube may not be a top-of-the-range Gan, it seems like a lot of people like it and are happy with it, especially considering the $14 price point. This was a good place to start.After about 2 hours of use, I can say it's night and day compared to the Rubik's brand. (To be fair, The Rubik's brand was not really designed as a speed cube.) The action is great and it's a magnetic cube as well. I'm not an expert in cubing by any means. But I can say this: If you're interested in cubing, it's essential to get a cube other than the original. Also, I noticed about the Gan, which is just about the top brand, that they have some kind of strange tension adjustment system which some do not appreciate.

So good for practicing solving quickly!! I got to sub 1 minute with this which was my goal but I'm sure you could get faster too!!
