Awesome Chair
This is an awesome chair. Takes some getting used to but provides good back support. The seat could be a little more cushy but it is not uncomfortable as it is. Well made, rolls really nicely with roller skate casters and the back adjustment is ver versatile for different body types. Will be purchasing a second chair for my sewing room.

Helped my Neck and Back Pain
This is my second chair that I bought since being a tattoo artist. I LOVE the saddleback chair and the back support is immaculate. I have struggled with my posture and a little tip that has helped me is sitting with the back against my chest. It keeps me from bending down as far as I typically have in the past. I would recommend this to anyone in the beauty and body art field such as estheticians, tattoo artists, ARNP - anyone performing services on clients.

So happy with this now!
So I almost returned it, thank goodness I didn’t. When I got the chair I was really impressed because it’s such a nice chair, well made and super sturdy, it rolls like a dream. I hadn’t quite got my desk made so I was trying to use it at my dining room table (for doing nails) and it was just too tall. I was super disappointed and started a return on it. I got my desk done and installed at my shop, and was noticing my old chair was just a tad too short, so I took the saddle stool down and low and behold, it’s perfect! And the best part is, I can get up after sitting 2 hours to do a set of art nails, and be able to walk without the hip pain I normally have after sitting that long in an office chair. So if you are trying to use this at a desk, the desk top needs to be at least 32” for it to work comfortably. If you can work with that, this is a really nice, really sturdy and really comfortable chair that can help alleviate hip and back pain.

Fulfilled most of my needs
I am an older lady who is only 5' tall and am unable to stand for long periods of time. I purchased the stool to assist me in the kitchen - at the stove, meal prep (chopping vegetables, etc.) and at the sink. The saddle configuration of the seat keeps my knees out of harm's way and allows me to place myself close to the work area. The seat could be a bit more comfortable, but I am grateful that the stool allows me to do tasks I was unable to do before I owned it. The stool helps with all of these. I am also able to navigate in the kitchen, on a ceramic tile floor, by holding onto the counter or stove and pulling myself along. That doesn't feel completely safe, but it works. My kitchen is a galley type, so counters are always in reach. I would have a problem in a larger kitchen. Mounting the stool stool when it is at its lowest position is not difficult. Dismounting, however, is problematic. Since I am a short person, I can't reach the floor with my feet when the stool is at a height necessary for me to work in the kitchen. I have to hold onto the counter, pull on the hydraulic handle and "push" myself down. This is inconvenient if I need to dismount while cooking to retrieve something from my cupboard or access the above-stove microwave. A bar or "stirrup" of some sort would, I think alleviate this problem. I had another problem: when I unthinkingly dismounted the stool when it was at a high position ("jumped" down). It was extremely difficult to get enough weight on the seat for the hydraulic lever to engage.

Expected brand new item as described
Although the chair itself is comfortable and very easy to assemble I am disappointed that what I received was not in new condition as described when I purchased the chair. When I opened the package and took out the parts I quickly noticed dirty marks on the seat and back of the chair. Also a sort of green looking chunk under the seat. Very disappointing. I took my time to search and look for a chair that would be comfortable for sitting over long periods of time. The item was described as NEW on the listing and what I received was a used chair. As I followed the instructions for assembly I noticed that I could skip past adding the wheels to the leg of the chair because it had already been done for me. I purchase from Amazon allll the timeee and this was my first time being so disappointed with my purchase because I felt like I was investing in this chair and it didn't even come brand new.

Nice quality- very comfortable
I'm an artist and bought this for painting at an easel. I admit it does take a little time to become accustomed to sitting on it, especially if you frequently get up to stand, then sit down again. But the back relief and comfort is well worth it! It is a very comfortable stool, and unlike some others, it is possible to adjust the back rest so that you can lean back on it. The seat shape is good and the padding adequate. The casters roll nicely and don't seem to hang up on the rug or wood floor. I roll this stool all over the place and have not had any tipping issues (mentioned in other reviews) though I am careful to lower the seat height first. The assembly was very simple and once assembled it feels solid and sturdy. Overall, this chair is an excellent value for the price and I would definitely buy another.

Great after extensively modified
I'm no stranger to unconventional seating. I prefer things like knee chairs or stools, that keep my spine straight. I hadn't used a saddle stool before, but I took a chance. (During COVID, this wasn't worth the risk of in-person shopping.) When it arrived, I wanted to like it. It's well-made. It was good for a few minutes each time I sat on it. Then the pain would start. There are bones in my undercarriage that just COULD not bear my considerable weight pressing down on that saddle horn. The hubs and I are kinda junior makers. I decided to try and hack it into something that would work. When I removed the cover, I discovered the problem. The saddle horn was both very wide and very high. See photos. We sawed a big piece of it off. Then I discovered That the original foam wasn't enough to fill out the cover which had been held up by the horn. I stuffed it with a lot more foam, and stitched it back up.Now it looks vaguely diseased because of the lumpy foam, but it's very comfortable. It still has a saddle horn, just much LESS of one. After too many hours of work, it feels like the chair I thought I was buying.
