I got this for work, keeps so much organized because I am constantly moving around. Very convenient. However, if I dropped it I'm pretty sure it would dent. So, it might not be the best quality ever but it does the job it's suppose to. Next time I'll probably buy a more expensive/thicker one.

I needed a strong clipboard that could take the rough and tumble of my work and commute. I've used many plastic clipboards and they've lasted less than 2-3 years. I saw this aluminum clipboard and I thought I've give it a try. First of all, its strong structure is impressive. It's sturdily built with about 1/16" thick metal for main body, hinged cover and clip. Second, the deep main body has a depth of 1.0+ inch that creates a surprising amount of space for everything you need including an iPad. Thirdly, there's tight, metal riveting that secures the whole clipboard together. Finally, the clip uses heavy duty springs to securely hold all manner of paperwork. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and I look forward to using this for many years to come.

Durable design with plenty of storage

I was expecting a thicker and harder metal. It is a very thin I’m guessing aluminum sheet. I think I can bent it with my hands. I don’t think it will survive big impact like if you dropped it accidentally from 5th floor. I chose it because I’m always dropping stuff. My previous hard plastic one cracked after i accidentally sat on it . The storage area isn’t as deep as I expected. If you are in construction or work in rocky or very wet areas it’s not leak proof. My previous ones was able to hold 2 sunglasses, gas masks, all my papers pens, sharpies and super tight seal from water . For this one I had to remove more than half of my papers so that my glasses would fit

Works good to use at my job

I had a great app for mileage, but the company closed. I lost my smaller mileage log notebooks. i use this as my storage for pens, all my receipts, and keep a notepad on top where I track my mileage. When family gets in the vehicle and move stuff around, I can still always find this. It is bigger, a little bulky, but I never lose it. Plus the notepad on top is an emergency notebook when I run in empty handed in to meetings or have an impromptu meeting. This has been wonderful. I wish I had bought this 20 years ago instead of fighting with storing receipts and notes and mileage in separate places and trying to do the mileage apps.
