Works Great!
The sanding blocks did a beautiful job on our limestone fireplace hearth. My husband was able to sand out stains that had been on the limestone for many years with easy cleanup.

Expensive sanding block. That's it.
The only thing this is good for is duct taping 2000 grit sandpaper around it and using it as a sanding block. Otherwise it is totally ineffective. I was able to polish out scars in granite and even glass. What a waste of money, don't make the same mistake.

Sturdy and works great
As good as the more expensive pads. Just don't leave them in the water after using them and they'll last a long time.

Useful for small jobs
I purchased the 200, 800, 1500 & 3000 to finish the edges of some marble tile. I skipped the 400 & 50 grit because I was working with soft stone... In retrospect, I would have purchased all of them to expedite the process/save myself some work, but given the price of each pad, it simply wouldn't have been economical.I was able to polish around 14 linear feet in about 3 hours using the 4 pads I purchased. The final finish almost matched machine quality, but it required a good deal of elbow grease. I wouldn't advise using these for anything beyond minor touch-up/small jobs.I would also advise caution if working near finished stone. I attempted to polish the edge of a tile that was already installed and managed to score a bordering tile with the 200 grit pad. The damage was significant to the point that I needed to re-polish the existing tile to the same extent as that of the unfinished edge. This could have been entirely avoided with judicious application of masking tape of the bordering tile.Bottom line: The pads do what they are meant to, but given the price of each pad, I would highly recommend using a machine based polishing system if your intended job is beyond minor repair.

Hire a tile expert instead
I see that other purchasers have had better luck with this than I had, but even with the 200-stroke method -- on a slurry of Miracle Sealants Watrinetch de-etching powder -- it was difficult to effect much change in my marble counter-top. I was able to take down a 1"-square etched section, but the rest of the approximately half a square foot ended up looking scarcely better than before. And, of course, it all looked completely lame next to the pristine, shining areas next to it. My advice: go to a good-quality tile store and get a recommendation for a repair person. Additional advice: marble sucks. It's beautiful, but it's ridiculously difficult to maintain. As for etching, all it takes is one drop of Windex or eye makeup remover or a husband who consistently fails to blot up water splashes on a marble bathroom counter-top, and you're done. I sealed mine every 6 months, as told to by my installer when I bought it, and it still didn't protect it sufficiently. Consider using granite, quartz, anything but marble -- unless you're prepared to pay a pro for yearly polishing and sealing. I just got a quote for $200. Considering what the marble cost me 8 years ago when I re-did my master bath, I consider it a very reasonable price to pay. These folks have the equipment, the products, and the expertise. Don't buy this product, or a de-etching compound, unless you're prepared to spend a whole day working with it.

Fine tuning for the wet saw
This is the first time I have seen one of these. Was viewing a tile installation video before tiling my backsplash this tool was recommended so I searched Amazon and this pad was offered. Certainly works as advertised to polish up the cuts on glass tile! Could not be more pleased with my purchase.

I purchased to Grit 200, and felt it necessary ...
I purchased to Grit 200, and felt it necessary to write a review to let buyers know that this product was "average" and did not do the job I read that it would do. I had a very small area of concrete to polish (30 day old crack that I filled with new cement) and it did not grind away the cement to make a flat surface, it simply ground away the pad.

You will be disappointed and will ruin your granite or marble.
The edge of the sanding pad made deep scratches in my granite. I will need to get a tradesman to come and polish them out. The product is rubbish and does not perform as advertised.
