I used it for something other than just the roots. I have very short hair, about 1/4 inch long. I was not happy with all the bright silver white all around the sides of my head. It is hard enough being a woman with stubble for hair, but having the grey show up so bad made it even worse.I used the Root Touch-Up for all over my head. I followed the instructions, the only difference was the area I put it on. My hair is nicely colored and I feel much better.I had been worried if there would be enough product to color all the hair stubble, but was pleasantly surprised that there was plenty enough.Another good thing about using this, is that it did not leave my skin stained when I rinsed out the coloring. Normal all over hair color always leaves my skin stained and it takes several hair washings for it to fade away. None of that with this product.

I love this stuff. I have short hair so I mix this color with the Light Brown 6. It makes about 4-5 tablespoons which is plenty for my short hair. Unlike regular hair color, I don't have to leave it on for 40-45 minutes. I leave it on for about 15, rinse, and I'm good to go. Mixed with the light brown, I get a beautiful shade of auburn which isn't in your face. It's particularly noticeable when my hair gets in the light or sunlight. Before I took the plunge, I mixed the two together and did a test patch on my hair just to make sure. It was no big deal since I only had to leave it on for 10 minutes. I rinsed, then blew dry and was very pleased.

I have some grey hair on the top of my head and the normal dye hair products could not take care of it. I had to go to hairstylist for that. This product helps to cover it without any issue. I like it and will buy it again.

Something happened an I didn't get my first order of this clairol had to reorder an came quickly, it was sent right out color is good no mess looks fresh colors the grey so I'm thankful...

I love this product. I can take care of my roots at home for a fraction of the cost at the salon. I only wish they would give a bit more.

Terrific product. I hate having roots showing so prior to this coming out had to dye my hair every few wks; now I use this touchup and do not have to color my entire head of hair more than once every 6 wks. Easy to use, takes only 15 minutes and I am good to go.

I have been using this product to hold me over between salon visits. It is easy to use and blends well with the salon color. I leave it on a bit longer than the instructions as I have a few strands that are harder to color. Great price on Amazon especially when they have an online coupon
