Use care when threading the cap back into place. The threads are fine and very easy to cross-thread. It took me about three or four minutes and some patience to get the threads lined-up properly. It is marketed as a veterinary instrument after all, so those of us using it to flush human ears should take note. There are smaller options available. Need to rinse and dry it as best as possible after use. I replaced a smaller one that was about 3 years old, which had corroded a bit on the plunger end. That would obviously be dangerous to use.
