As soon as you remove them from the case, (Which is what charges them, by the way) they turn on automatically. Put them into each ear and they will sync together. Then they will sync with your phone. Hit play and your good to go. All of this is voice prompted. The voice is of a Chinese lady with broken English but hey, who cares? Being earbuds, they do not cancel out loud noise. You can't use these while say, mowing the yard, unless you wear ear muff style hearing protection. (Which I do, and works great) However, being wireless and fairly comfortable, I really have no complaints so far.I got them as a gift from my wife for Christmas and use them from everything to working out to doing yard work. Pretty much everyday. Still working good.The battery is surprisingly pretty strong with these little guys. I can go about 2-2 1/2 hrs. before they need to be charged again.Overall, really impressed.
