Ideal for sketching, linework, and detailed rendering, this Japanese-imported set blends nostalgic craftsmanship with modern functionality. ## Description I would like people in adult who have less use of pencil to feel the wonderfulness of the pleasure of writing with pencils familiar from a young age. A writing instrument that such a pencil shop made heartily is ""adult pencil"". The grain finish which made use of the beautiful wood grain of the American high-class incense cedar wood is warmth and makes me feel a nostalgic healing. Luxury domestically produced 2 mm core made by uniformly mixing graphite and clay with less impurities can be darker and cleaner to write. Recognize pleasures of writing and nostalgia for adults. By expressing an exquisite balance with a wooden shaft and a metal bracket at the center lightly and heavily at both ends, by slightly bringing the center of gravity closer to the tip, we realized a comfortable writing that is not fatigued even for a long time writing. By cutting down unnecessary things to the limit to write, it is simple design that chooses people and places to use. ""Cutting tool"" - A unique core cutting machine developed in 1955. It is indispensable for ""adult pencil"", core cutting of north star pencil does not use a blade, because it uses a unique type of leaf spring and scrapes the core from 4 directions, it can be scraped by turning left and right without turning one turn It adopts its own mechanism. Review: Excellent lead holders for drawing once you get used to them - I purchased these lead holders after researching mechanical pencils for drawing. While I love my Derwent and Blackwing pencils, I wanted to see how mechanical pencils felt, and if they were as convenient as they seemed. I didn’t want to spend the money on something like a Rotring for an experiment, so I went for these Kita-Boshi pencils. I’m really happy I did. It’s very convenient to get these as a three-pack, allowing you to load the barrels with different leads: hard for sketching and blocking, medium for linework and rendering, and soft for dark darks. The build on these pencils is quality, with decent heft, and the mechanism is smooth and solid. To folks used to using wooden pencils, the hard and smooth barrels might feel cold and unyielding at first, but after a bit of use it’s not an issue. The sharpeners are a nice touch, compact and functional. They hone lead tips to a very fine point, and catch all the lead shavings, which can come in handy if one likes to render in detail. Overall, as an artist I’m very happy with these lead holders. They’re very convenient and feel like they will last a good, long time. It took a little while to get used to the feel of the barrels, but since then the experience has been nothing but positive. The Kita-Boshis are my main drawing tools now, and I’m in no hurry to get a Rotring.
