This item was delivered the day after i ordered it & was well packaged. The bags are very well made out of strong black fabric with strongly stitched on handles so are easy to move around the garden when needed. They are a good size but i would probably buy the larger size for plants like tomato plants as they require more watering so would be better in a bigger bag with more soil and space to grow. But the size i bought are good for the plants i purchased them for to put my herbs and lavender plants in rather than moving around heavy plant pots. I think that u could grow any plants in them without becoming waterlogged and u would get nice flowers or crops from them. I have bought other grow bags before that were more flimsy plastic materials and they didnt last long before breaking but these look like they will last a very long time as much stronger.

I bought these as I am desperately trying to move.So I have been ordering fruit plants ready for new garden & needed something that would be easy for moving. I find the 5 gallon an ideal size .They seem sturdy enough to stay in them until such time as planted in permanent pots .You can use them for summer veg if u haven't got space easily take some beans or peas.I need some more as they don't have the lip part of a plant pot , it gives me more space .

I've loved growing potatoes from seed - I have three big strong bags and wanted some more. Sadly these just aren't up to the same standard (although I concede they are cheap). Left outside, they've become sodden and spongy, and I'm fairly sure when they eventually become full - as is the way of growing potatoes - they'll probably burst. I've learned my lesson, and will be buying more of the original woven-and-waterproof type.

I filled one bag with compost, planted my seeds, watered and tried to move the bag via the handles and it ripped in two places. I wasted my seeds, lost all of my soil and I was pretty upset as I had nothing else to put the soil into. I have since bought hard plastic containers, and returned these for a refund. This experience has put me off smart pots unfortunately.

Arrived today. My first thought was that they were a little small. I filled a 6ltr put with compost and tried emptying it into one of these. Guess what? I couldn’t empty all of the compost into the smart pot. I’m guessing that these hold a little over 5ltrs and not 2 gallons as advertised. I will be returning them.
