Review: Solid, high quality unit. - Had to modify it with my Dremel to fit my 12 string guitar with a 1-7/8" nut width. The neck is so wide that the capo would not go on far enough to catch the G string. Now it does. It was a good fit on my 6 string guitars, but I bought it for my 12 string. If you nut width is 1-3/4" or less, it will work fine with no modification. I anticipated this mod before I ordered it, so not a problem for me. It works great.

Had to modify it with my Dremel to fit my 12 string guitar with a 1-7/8" nut width. The neck is so wide that the capo would not go on far enough to catch the G string. Now it does. It was a good fit on my 6 string guitars, but I bought it for my 12 string. If you nut width is 1-3/4" or less, it will work fine with no modification. Indispensable "guitarist's tool" for quick DADGAD tuning without having to tune down from and back up to standard tuning. Makes songs you've gotten used to playing in D take on a whole new feel, plus it's cool just to fingerpick around and experiment. I first saw this being used by Cletus Kennelly at a gig in Alexandria VA and asked him afterward what the heck it was; glad I took his advice to try it out and I'm passing that suggestion along if you haven't used one yet.
