Well built solid umbrella for self defense
I had the Umbreakable Umbrella, but inadvertently left it on a bus in London. Some lucky person will find it, and not realize what it is.To replace my umbrella, I purchased this because of the shape of the handle. The fact that it is wooden and rounded, gives it additional tactical qualities. It has better retention on the end compared to the more cylindrical shape or hook shape of the other umbrella brand.This is a one person umbrella. It works well as a walking cane given the durability of the stainless steel blunt point.The button is responsive and doesn’t lag unlike cheaper alternatives.As a baton-like object, or a Jo Staff, it works great for self defensive maneuvers. I wouldn’t consider it as an offensive weapon, either. There is a strap that allows the user to sling it onto their shoulder, but I see it as a design flaw, as it can be grabbed easily or snag. The work around is to make sure the straps are towards you when you’re gripping it.I’m very pleased with my purchase.

It looks good and feels good
Not sure about durability yet, gave it some try but don't need too much, just enough so it does not break but problem they should have much better design to hold the umbrella closed, that I think will be a problem especially if someone grabs it.

Suckered by XXL version
Umbrella is sturdyXXL version is marked assembled in USA and both are marked as the having a beautiful German wood handle; I ordered an XXL one and it had both of these but also a defective latch; then I ordered this one (they were out of XXL) and it is made in Hong Kong and I cannot tell if the handle is textured plastic or painted light wood. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but it is not beautiful to this eye.Mine *did not* come with a tip cap like one of the pictures and question answers indicates.It *did* come with a sling-type carrier like is pictured on the XXL but not this one; way better than a tip IMO.I wish there was truth in 3rd party descriptions here; the enforcement seems very lax.

Offenders beware.
This umbrella is really well made and sturdy too. It's a bit pricey, though. I would recommend it to anyone who loves the advantage of stealth. This umbrella looks ordinary; it is everything but. Hopefully, the seller can find a lower price point. I will buy this again, only when it comes down in price.

Discrete and Deadly.
I study Stick Fighting at Village Martial Arts! We train to decimate attackers with Escrima Sticks. When in public, we can't use the sticks but this umbrella is a discreet, deadly weapon!LOVE IT!
