The fold-up handles work good when needed, and they fold up against the side of the pot when they are not needed. The lid has a steam vent hole in it already, so that’s great. I’m a mechanical engineer and tend to be real picky about how things work and are built, but this pot is better than 90% of the products out there already. Great design and I love its usability.

This is all you need. I keep it in a plastic bag and never clean off the black. It has a bail so you can hang it over the campfire, I don't carry a stove. Wood is not in short supply in the Blue Ridge. I boil water and put it in my freeze-dried packet which I eat out of and have some left over for a hot drink. The handles make it great, so I don't have to carry a potholder. I would advise a plastic curved lip for the rim.
