The set screw that holds the main magnet in adjustment is brass but because it threads into the plastic body, which, again, is plastic, the soft, soft, soft plastic threads strip immediately on the first effort to tighten the set screw. So, since the magnet cannot be held in adjustment, the tool is useless. It's as simple as that. If the body were made of metal this might be a good tool.
