On/Off is for turntable auto pause only. *by R***B on Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2018* Issues And Answers: I love this record player. Some problems I read about in reviews may be only misunderstandings. After reading some of the issues others had, I ordered one anyway. I'm glad I did. The slide switch at the very top of speaker releases the turntable so you can open it up. The power adapter and other cables store neatly in a compartment on the bottom of the unit. The bottom two slide levers under the speaker are volume and tone controls. I had no issues with turntable speed playback. If you do, check to see that speed selector switch is properly adjusted. It clicks into place. There is no main power switch. The on and off slide switch to the left of the speed selector only turns the auto pause feature for the turntable on or off. I fell for it too! I slid what looks like a main power switch to the off position and to my surprise the turntable started rotating! It's not wired backwards like others mentioned, just improperly labled. Owners manual has confirmed this. One solution may be to use a label maker to add the words "auto pause" above or below the on/off switch so it is not mistaken for main power switch. Another possible remedy would be to use a power strip with a switch on it in order to power unit down.Also critical is to make sure the phone/aux switch is on "phono" first or the turntable will not spin if "aux" is selected. No skips, just great sound. I even played a 45 rpm favorite record that skips/repeats on a groove on just about all other turntables I've tried it on. It played flawlessly.I would buy it again. Weighs about 5 pounds and has a nice carry handle. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Breaks down within months *by C***E on Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2020* It plays the vinyls well when you first get it, however, it starts to play the wrong speed a couple months after. While the quality of sound is nice, it’s NOT worth the money.
