Super lite. **Q: Could this board be used for a computer desk?** A: To put into perspective the dimensions of this item, it is 3/4 inch thick and visually look like a 28 inch wood butcher block for cutting vegetables, meats, and whatnots. However, I would NEVER recommend doing so. It’s a strong and sturdy board. It is not pre-drilled with any holes, nor does it’s original purpose require it to be. If using on a sturdy fame, it could be used as as part of a computer desk, but again the surface dimension is 28 inch wide by 18 inches in depth and would make for a very small desk surface. **Q: I have the 66-1/2" wide x 20" deep gladiator workbench (gawb66bawg). could i take the legs off of that and put them on this?** A: This particular hardwood top is only 28" wide, and works great as a top on the modular Gearbox line of products. I have 3 of these on side-by-side gearbox units in my workshop. The 66-1/2" wide unit you reference, even after removing the hardwood top, would likely not fit the smaller 28" hardwood top because the horizontal cross-members that provide stability for the left and right "legs" of the unit don't appear to have the ability to telescope these horizontal members to fit something only 28" wide Not sure what's to be gained. Gladiator already offers a 4' wide workbench (GAWB04HWEG) you could purchase for a smaller workspace. **Q: Why prop65?** A: Prop65 is a California law and often their law requires manufacturers to disclose if items contain certain chemical basis and or environmental hazards or risks of chemicals that cause cancers. Many times the Prop65 applies to how a product is manufactured and could cause the manufacturer to identify the Prop65 without signifant impact to one’s health or environment.
