Thus you don't have to worry about a precise fit. My head measured towards the top end of medium per the company ordering chart. At first try the hat was tighter then I would prefer, but it has loosened up a bit after wearing and is acceptable. Higher priced than others but first and foremost it needed to be made in Ireland. It is and the quality can’t be denied. First rate including a plush lining. This hat was perfect in every way except it just didn’t fit. A bit too tight and I had ordered the XXL. Just got a haircut so it was my best shot. I kept trying it on but it was still too tight. It is the “only” reason that I reluctantly returned it. I highly suggest ordering one size larger than usual.
