However, this shouldn't be confused with RAID0 where the capacities of both drives are similarly also combined. The difference between BIG and RAID0 is that in BIG, the 1st drive is being written to and once it fills, the 2nd drive will then start to be written to. Theoretically, if one of the drives fails, data stored on the 2nd drive can still be recovered.
