My physician recommended that I get a wedge pillow for my acid reflux. I am the type of person who enjoys extensive research before purchasing products. In my research and now my personal experience, the size of the pillow is extremely important. I'm a larger person who typically sleeps on all sides throughout the night. Here is my quick pros and cons list.Pros:No issues of acid reflux and appears to have helped considerably.I'm tossing and turning far less after sleeping on this pillow.Size matters - this oversized pillow allows you to move about without falling off the edge.Gentle slope - because of its length, the pillow allows for a gentle incline without neck or shoulder discomfort.Cooling outer layer - albeit no extreme cooling affect, it does provide a very soft and somewhat cooler feeling to the skin.Customer Service - had issue with original pillow not expanding all the way, they immediately responded and resolved within 24 hours of contact. Top notch experience.Cons: It is fairly light weight and can move around if you are an active sleeper. Their suggestion of using a pillow between or under the knees to help alleviate this does work if it's comfortable for you using the extra pillow.Cost - it's on the expensive side compared to other pillows on the market. I have not physically tested the others so I cannot say with certainty that it's the best bang for the buck but as I continue to receive restful sleeps it is looking as though money well spent. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good acid reflex benefit, questionable cooling affect *by D***S on February 1, 2018* This product does its job with acid reflux very well. I have used Medslant in the past with their folding pillow. This product is wider than the other product, it spans across half a queen bed. As to cooling, it is initially cooler when you lay down and to the touch but doesn't sustain that coolness. Don't expect it to help with cooling a hot flash. Haven't yet experienced it in summer temperatures. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helps me get through the night and not feel terrible all day *by W***B on December 17, 2022* I can't say it's a comfortable nights sleep but for someone suffering from untreated sleep apnea it keeps my O2 stats MUCH higher than just sleeping on my mattress which only has a couple inches of incline. Before I had this, building pillow ramps to 'try' and sleep on was my only alternative and pillows are NOT comfortable to sleep on.This wedge pillow is firm enough to keep my head and shoulders elevated. It's nice and wide so I can switch positions fairly easily.
