I get 25%-35% more run time even when not in Power Saver mode. With the OEM battery I would experience occasional overheating during heavy usage when the laptop was flat on my desk since there was no air circulation underneath. I would need to put something under the back to raise it up to help dissipate the heat. This 9 cell battery protrudes about 3/4" below the bottom surface raising the unit off the desk and promoting air flow and cooler operating temperatures.
