The material is thin for summer without being too thin. The hidden pockets are great. The removal of 1 star is because the sizing is WAY off. I usually purchase a size 3X or 26-28. Based on the reviews I got a 4X. The 4X fit, but I wasn't as comfortable as I wanted in it so I bought a 5X. The 5X equals my normal 3X. I've washed them and they didn't shrink. I don't know if this is similar with smaller sizes, but beware if you are my size and go up two sizes.
