My 4 year old uses this, with ease. That is how easy it is to use.The backlit display is useful too - it shows red when there is something wrong! My 4 year old understands that as well - red = bad, green= good. So far so good. The ear bit is useful if you want to double check, which I did. I can't see me using that function too much given the forehead function though to be honest. And it knew my coffee was boiling hot, that got a RED warning alright! You don't have to switch it off, it does that by itself, which is good as since I had my 4 year old, my brain has never recovered along with my memory. That's one less thing to remember, or not. My husband is impressed too. We have talked about getting one for ages, and I'm glad I have. I just couldn't justify the expense of a branded one, but reading reviews, and now having tried it, this is just as good in all honesty. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good. It's smaller than my last thermometer, far easier to operate, and has the full functionality with ear, forehead, and ambient temperatures. And the all-important requirement of fever alarm. It seems accurate when I tested it out on each of our body temperatures and comparing the room temperature measurement to our digital room thermometer/hygrometer. Also possesses the audible beep and backlit screen.I wouldn't recommend using this to test any liquid temperatures. I didn't want to spend too much money on it because I believe that branded expensive one do exactly the same job.
