Great vibrant colors and he has recently been able to take the tops off for himself. They are gel water crayons. Very similar to the gelatos. But once dey, gelatos are set. I think the FC gel crayons re-activate with water after they've dried the first time. So you'd have to be careful with layers. **Q: What are these like, ink or wax?** A: Unlike ink or wax, gel crayons have a buttery texture. They glide effortlessly on smooth surfaces like paper and chipboard and are easy to blend and smudge. **Q: Can you easily wipe the crayon with a soft cloth and then rub the cloth onto a raw polymer clay to embellish textures?** A: Yes you can. I have used these when making clay pieces for assemblages and it worked well for me. **Q: Do these show up on black paper?** A: Yes, they are very bright and would work great on black paper. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kids love to use these smooth crayons as they slide easily *by P***Y on February 6, 2024* Faber Gel Crayons are a game-changer! I love these crayons, the kids love them as well. They don’t break easily and it dries fine. They can smear but I haven’t had issues with them. My 3 and 7 year old use them. They are a bit pricy for how short they last but they are high quality for sure! ## Frequently Bought Together - Faber-Castell Gel Crayons: 12 Jumbo Gel Crayons in Durable Storage Case: Toddler Art Supplies for Coloring and Kids Drawing, Twistable Crayons for Arts and Crafts for Kids Ages 3-4+ - Melissa & Doug Sketch Pad (9 x 12 Inches) - 50 Sheets, 2-Pack - FSC Certified - Faber-Castell DuoTip Washable Markers - 12 Markers, 24 Colors --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/9014063-gel-crayons-12-jumbo-gel-crayons-in-durable-storage-case](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/9014063-gel-crayons-12-jumbo-gel-crayons-in-durable-storage-case) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-22*
